And again, and this was striking to
me when I was doing this music
video project, the kind of music that
I use in class, which I have to use
because it’s how, I mean, there’s
nothing wrong with the resources
that I have to use, the books and all
that sort of stuff, but it is a stark
contrast to what these kids are
listening to all at home. There is, I
mean, there is no comparison to it. I
let the fifth graders bring in their
favourite CDs, and we listened to
some of it. And the boys all brought
in this just screaming rock-n-roll.
