REHABILITATION MEDICINE<br />

COURSE DESCRIPTION<br />
Following the basic sciences and clinical sciences this course will enable the students to<br />
understand their role in the management <strong>of</strong> disability within the rehabilitation.<br />
COURSE OBJECTIVES<br />
The objective <strong>of</strong> this course is that after 100 hours <strong>of</strong> lectures and demonstrations in addition to<br />
clinical the student will be able to demonstrate concept <strong>of</strong> team approach in Rehabilitation,<br />
identification <strong>of</strong> residual potential in patient with partial or total disability.<br />
A. INTRODUCTION<br />
Define the term rehabilitation. Explain its aims and principles.<br />
Discuss the team work involved in rehabilitation, explaining briefly the role <strong>of</strong> each team<br />
member.<br />
B. THERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUES<br />
Explain the principles and mechanism <strong>of</strong> therapeutic techniques with relevant precaution<br />
And contraindication.<br />
