How did that phrase ever come to pass? You take a gorgeous day bursting with colorful flowers near a bubbling brook while bluebirds flit about singing a cheerful song. Then you pair it with the grimy gunk that has set up camp on top of your stove. Some things just shouldn’t be allowed to mingle. Cleaning house is a frustrating enough venture without being forced to do it during the most appealing time of the year. While you’re on a date with the Tidy Bowl Man, other people are out there soaking up all the UV rays! I know most people probably view SPRING CLEANING as a chance to get their household re-organized. This is an overwhelming proposition. When faced with an attic full of boxes, you must follow a very specific process. Open attic door. Look at boxes. Close attic door. You’re welcome. Despite my best efforts, I have evidently failed to pass along my organizational skills to my offspring. Just last week I found a hot wheels car inside a jar of peanut butter and a pair of Toy Story underwear in a houseplant. Needless to say I’m a little concerned about the welfare of that Fern. The truth is, I love organization. I have always said, “A place for everything and everything in its place.” I have various size boxes and color-coded file folders inside monogrammed satchels stuffed inside carefully labeled plastic containers. I have no idea what’s in there. But that’s okay. The next beautiful Saturday this spring, I’ll be outside enjoying all the flora, fauna and sunshine this season has to offer. If I can only remember where I put that sunscreen…. Many died for our "liberty and justice for all". America buy American. Refuse to support and make other countries rich while we crumble to our knees. Buy local strenghtening your community. Pay attention and learn what is really going on. Vote for worthy canidates that will do as they say and who have good morals and values. We need to strengthen our country or we will fall. Get off your butts and work and quit bleeding the governement or more honestly the people who are out there working to support themselves and being robbed by the goverment to support the ticks. (those sucking the life out of America by living on welfare and every "free" thing they can get.) Remember NOTHING IS FREE someone is having to pay for it. And too many ticks on the dog will eventually kill it. Some definitions are a paradox – depending on how one sees something. The word 'Republic' used to be "Following ones own convictions & values" – The United States of America is suppose to be a "Republic under God" - Just read the United States Constitution and our Pledge of Allegiance. The word 'Democracy' is "The majority rules the minority." And 'Conservative' is "Moderation, holding on to the old values keeping the established ways" (God’s Ways!) while 'Liberal' is "Free will and unrestricted liberty." Conservatives use to be Pro-Life but now I hear abortionists calling Pro-Lifers "Liberals" - ???? What’s wrong with this picture? We never changed! The Conservatives still believe abortion is murder. America use to be "One Nation under God" and God is Pro- Life and He commanded "Thou shalt not murder." God is also Pro-Choice with consequenses to follow. Murder is sin and "the wages of sin is death." But lets finish this off in a more positive way - "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 6:23 Child abuse needs to be dealt with harshly. That woman who killed her 3 year old in the oven needs the death penalty! The punishment needs to fits the crime. If they would treat this kind of crime seriously enough people would not repeat it. People who do not want children should be "fixed" just like dogs and cats should be "fixed." This would take care of all the "unwanted" babies (human, puppies & kittens) and then that would help to eliminate neglect & abuse. It should be law that with the first abortion the woman is "fixed" that would also help to eliminate further abortions and unwanted children. People who adopt don’t usually abuse or neglect the child. "Unwanted" babies are wanted by those who cannot have a child of their own. People are waiting in line and many for several years for a new born baby. And there are some who would like to adopt who can’t afford the $30,000.00 + adoption fee. There are good homes out there with parents who will love those children and raise them to have successful happy lives. Why not give your baby a chance to life by letting a loving couple adopt the "unwanted" wanted child? To the person to stated “dogs have no soul” I say to you, when they cry, they feel, when they bring a toy back to you and greet you at the door with a smile and stay beside you keeping you calm and loving you and watching over you when you are at your sickest point in life, then I say to you “you have no clue the soul these precious creatures show each day”. I also received three phone calls about a virus in my computer. The guy said I had bad viruses on windows and he could clean them up for me for $39. He then asked for my credit card number. I told him to call me back the next morning at 10 a.m. that I did not have my card with me. He called about four times before giving up. Please do not fall for this scam. Thru Fri. 9am-5pm My opinion, Zimmerman did the right thing in pursuing Martin, he would have gotten away, he had burglary tools and women’s jewelry in his backpack, when the police told Zimmerman to back off, he did, a witness said they saw Martin jumped him from behind. Martin would have killed by Zimmerman and gotten away with it, he shot and defended his life. It is hard to believe a mother could put her child in an electric oven, killing him. Babies and young children are to be treasured and protected, I lost my daughter at the age of 15 ½ in a car accident, it has been over forty years, it still hurts. I have three grown boys, they are all good sons. The best. We hear that there is an increase in the number of children afflicted with autism. I saw a TV program showing a special treatment center for autistic children. The method of treatment was engaging each child in a play activity and an adult was paying close attention and discussing the activity with the child. The program was having some success. All children would benefit from more one-on-one interaction with family members, observing and commenting on their surroundings, playing together, solving little problems, having conversations. Those little children will grow up soon enough. The attention they receive during their early years is so important. In a speech George W, Bush gave in January 2001 he said: “If we don’t stop extending our troops all around the world in nation-building missions then we are going to have a serious problem. How prophetic. Too bad he didn’t listen to himself. Who ever said that making a ton of money makes you happy is a fool, it only causes more headaches and heartaches when people around you only love you when you can and are giving something, but where would they be if I needed them. The presidential election rhetoric has officially begun since Santorum finally dropped out of the race. Obama will now paint Romney as the “evil rich” and himself as “the guy next door.” If you believe either, you can get a superb deal on a bridge for sale in Brooklyn.
