Mesa County Respond to injured and orphaned wildlife calls<br />
from <strong>the</strong> public. Provide wildlife education<br />
solutions to <strong>the</strong> public. Transport wildlife<br />
(small mammals and birds) to veterinarians<br />
and rehabilitators. May require some capture.<br />
Must be 18 years or older, be available on<br />
weekends to leave at a moment’s notice to<br />
handle a call, and be willing to drive long<br />
distances in your personal vehicle. Good<br />
public skills and maturity are essential.<br />
Training on capture and <strong>DOW</strong> policies<br />
provided.<br />
Summit County We need your help to reduce <strong>the</strong> number <strong>of</strong><br />
bear/people conflicts this spring-fall. We’re<br />
looking for volunteers with excellent people<br />
skills to distribute information on bears to <strong>the</strong><br />
public in your community. Main duties<br />
include putting up signs and distributing bear<br />
brochures. <strong>Volunteer</strong>s will work closely with<br />
wildlife <strong>of</strong>ficer. Attendance at orientation/<br />
interviews required.<br />
