young and old, how to cast and catch fish.<br />
Tarryall Reservoir SWA is nestled between <strong>the</strong><br />
Tarryall Mountains and Puma Hills in <strong>the</strong><br />
beautiful Pike National Forest in Park County.<br />
The 175-acre reservoir, lying in a picturesque<br />
valley at an altitude <strong>of</strong> 8,860 feet, holds rainbow<br />
trout, brown trout and nor<strong>the</strong>rn pike. A twomile<br />
long stretch <strong>of</strong> Tarryall Creek above <strong>the</strong><br />
reservoir is open to public fishing for rainbow,<br />
brown, and brook trout. Camp host duties<br />
include: informing visitors regarding camping<br />
and fishing regulations, trash pickup, light<br />
maintenance and some painting. Medical<br />
facilities are available in Fairplay, 25 miles to<br />
<strong>the</strong> northwest. Camp host must provide a selfcontained<br />
shelter; however, water and<br />
electricity is a possibility.<br />
<strong>Volunteer</strong>s needed to help inventory, organize,<br />
and maintain our critter crates. Critter crates<br />
are a free resource available for educators to<br />
check out and use to educate students on<br />
various wildlife species & topics.<br />
