5 Cleaning and maintaining the HDG Navora – How to proceed
Check the flue and clean if necessary
1. Allow the fire in the boiler to burn out.
The operating status of the HDG Navora must be indicated with
“Heat production off” in the display of the HDG Lambda
Control.

components” in chapter “4 Using the HDG Navora Wood Boiler”.
Caution!
Danger of burns from hot surfaces.
The surfaces of the boiler can be hot. Even when turned off, they
only cool down slowly.
Do not start with the maintenance work until the surfaces have
cooled down.
2. Allow the boiler and the flue (3) to cool down.
3. Unscrew the wing nut (1) on the inspection hatch (2).
4. Remove the inspection hatch (2) from the flue (3).
5. Check whether the flue needs cleaning.
6. If necessary, use a suitable vacuum cleaner to clean out the
flue (3).
7. Slide any deposits into the flue gas collection box, but not in the
direction of the boiler.
8. Refit the inspection hatch (2) firmly onto the flue pipe (3) using
the wing nut (1).
✓ The flue pipe is clean.
