Hey, do you miss your loved ones especially those
who are distance apart? Writing a letter, that was so 30
years ago! Luckily, a new technology provides a welcome
relief for us to connect with just one touch on the screen
and that gadget is a SMARTPHONE.
Having a smart phone provides ‘life’ to the
students. Besides connecting us with friends, smart phone is
a necessity as it acts as part-and-parcel of campus life. It’s
considered trendy to have a smartphone and affordable
moreover with the government’s RM200 rebates on the
smartphones.
With smartphone, you can access the Internet
connection via Wi-Fi at anytime, any place. In fact, Wi-Fi
service in UNIMAS is free and you can enjoy net-surfing in
the campus without a hitch. With an Internet connection,
the students have virtually most of the informations they
read at their fingertips, ranging from the current issues and
news all over the world. You can even read your lecture
notes from MORPHEUS instantly without the need of a
laptop and that’s the wonder of having smartphones.
Smartphones are also a heaven to Facebook and Twitter
aficionados, whereby the students can socialise with
people having the same interest as them. The impact of
this medium is simply amazing.
