half-inch green and second cover. When<br />

also controls leafminer. The minimum<br />
rate is effective when used pre-bloom,<br />
but the maximum rate is needed if application<br />
is delayed until the crawler stage<br />
in early summer.<br />
Use of the pyrethroids Ambush, Asana,<br />
Baythroid, Danitol, Mustang Max,<br />
Pounce, Proaxis, Renounce, and<br />
Warrior will kill predaceous mites<br />
that feed on European red mite and<br />
twospotted spider mite, thereby triggering<br />
outbreaks of these pests. Use these<br />
pyrethroid insecticides only if the<br />
potential for plant bug and stink bug<br />
damage is high.<br />
Put pheromone traps in place now to<br />
monitor adult scale activity; crawlers<br />
are expected 4 to 6 weeks after adult<br />
emergence.<br />
Add Solubor to pesticide spray;<br />
check compatibility before adding.<br />
Urea can be added to pesticide sprays<br />
when needed.
