ABOUT VALMIERA<br />
Valmiera is one of the oldest cities in Latvia. It is located at the distance of 107 km from the<br />
capital Riga and it is the biggest city in Vidzeme, being only 50 km from the Estonian border.<br />
The historical centre of the city and a part of the territory are located on the right bank of the<br />
stunningly beautiful river Gauja, whereas the left bank of the river is less constructed – therefore<br />
– more to be explored.<br />
The organizers’ team is sure that the guest will feel very welcome in this city, because Valmiera<br />
is the land of good people!<br />
VENUES<br />
Committee work will be held in<br />
Valmieras State Gymnasium<br />
(Valmieras Valsts ģimnāzija).<br />
The school is located in an<br />
ancient building with progressive<br />
advancements. Around the school<br />
you will find such things as<br />
observatory, exhibition hall,<br />
shooting-gallery, out-door estrade<br />
and many other fun things!<br />
