Fusing two worlds at different ends of the spectrum, The Lock In
sees some of the UK’s oldest dance forms brought ‘bang up to
date’. The brainchild of award-winning folk band The Demon
Barbers, this cross-genre performance commences with a group of
street dancers arriving at an apparently deserted pub.
Soon, the more traditional regulars
arrive, and the ultimate in
dance stand-offs
ensues. Expect
sword dances performed
with
snooker
cues, pub
bouncers
dancing the
Morris and
B-boys flirting
with
clog girls...
