Libellago <strong>and</strong> Sclerocypha <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sulawesi</strong><br />
Thorax: Pronotum (Figs 3c, 4c) with transverse stripe over anterior lobe narrow,<br />
but complete, lateral spots <strong>of</strong> median lobe roughly triangular, large, blue <strong>and</strong> not<br />
connected with transverse stripe on anterior lobe; lateral lobe black; posterior lobe<br />
with pale triangular markings only in lateral corners <strong>of</strong> posterior margin. — Synthorax<br />
(Fig. 5c) with antehumeral stripe anteriorly wide <strong>and</strong> smoothly tapering posteriorly,<br />
nearly reaching ante-alar ridge, but just broken before posterior end, with<br />
separate transverse stripe reaching ante-alar ridge; no line over mesepimeron beside<br />
mesopleural suture; markings on metepisternum <strong>and</strong> metepimeron dark yellow, that<br />
on metepisternum typically broken. — Legs dark brown or black, without pale markings<br />
on tibiae. — Wings as in L. c. celebensis.<br />
Abdomen: Anteriorly black <strong>and</strong> orange-yellow, posteriorly dark red; S1 black with<br />
paired triangular yellow spots reaching hind margin latero-posteriorly; S2 dorsally<br />
<strong>and</strong> ventrally black, laterally with yellow marking, anteriorly acute, posteriorly widening<br />
to double anterior width; S3-6 with black dorsal markings sequentially decreasing<br />
in size on each succeeding segment, especially retreating from anterior<br />
margin; S7-10 dorsally dark red, ventral side S9-10 completely black; sternites dark.<br />
Appendages black.<br />
Measurements [mm]: Abdomen 18; Hw 23.<br />
Description <strong>of</strong> female<br />
Head: Labium with base <strong>of</strong> median lobe yellowish white, m<strong>and</strong>ibles nearly fully<br />
bluish white, but dark stripe along border near labrum, gena white, frons with paired<br />
bluish white marking between antennae, both markings separated by V-shaped<br />
medial incision, scapus bluish white, <strong>and</strong> bluish white suboval postocular spots.<br />
Thorax: Pale markings all yellowish white; anterior lobe <strong>of</strong> prothorax with transversal<br />
stripe, broadly interrupted in middle, median lobe with lateral triangular spot,<br />
c. anoa ssp. nov. c. celebensis ssp. nov. c. dorsonigra ssp. nov. c. orientalis ssp. nov.<br />
rufescens daviesi sp. nov. manganitu sp. nov. bisignata<br />
