If the battery is disconnected for any<br />
reason, you can use wiTECH to reconfigure<br />
the EPS system, or just drive<br />
the car for a few miles.<br />
The variable assist system looks at the<br />
steering input torque, the steering wheel<br />
angle, <strong>and</strong> the vehicle speed to determine<br />
the amount of assist to provide. This<br />
ensures good road feel <strong>and</strong> responsiveness<br />
in all situations.<br />
Because the Dodge Dart rests on a<br />
European-inspired chassis, you will find<br />
wheel bolts as opposed to wheel studs <strong>and</strong><br />
lug nuts.<br />
The braking system is a typical fourwheel<br />
disc brake setup with ABS, but<br />
there are two items of note. The parking<br />
brake is integrated in the rear calipers<br />
<strong>and</strong> the rear rotor is held on the hub with<br />
a bolt (Fig. 9).<br />
