President’s Letter
in 2012, Hospice & Community Care responded
to a growing need for our care and services from
surrounding counties. We changed our name,
collaborated with WellSpan Health, opened a
new office and established a dedicated team to serve
patients and families in York and Adams counties.
We are already seeing a number of families turning to
Hospice for care and support not only at home but
in our Hospice Inpatient Centers. In 2013, we will
continue to see expanded programs and services in this
area, including bereavement support for adults, teens
and children.
This issue takes a focused look at our Inpatient Centers, to help assure families
of the care their loved ones can receive in a beautiful, home-like atmosphere and
how our valued relationships with senior care communities help provide the best
end-of-life care for their residents.
As always, we are grateful for the ongoing support of our community which
makes this care possible for so many. This dedication was reflected during
the Extraordinary Give, a first-ever 24-hour online giving marathon held in
November by the Lancaster County Community Foundation. Your response was
overwhelming and we thank you.
