caregivers. <strong>Hospice</strong> offers an array of<br />
educational programs for senior care<br />
communities on topics including pain<br />
management, caring for the resident<br />
with dementia, the care and comfort<br />
of residents as conditions progress,<br />
and communicating with patients<br />
and families at end of life. <strong>Hospice</strong><br />
interdisciplinary team members also<br />
provide ongoing caregiver education to<br />
family members and caregivers.<br />
<strong>Hospice</strong>’s specialized end-of-life care<br />
and resources, including its staff of<br />
hospice and palliative care physicians,<br />
and nurse practitioners with<br />
specialized certifications and clinical<br />
support, are available 24 hours a day.<br />
<strong>Hospice</strong> offers specialized wound care<br />
services to help patients and caregivers<br />
struggling with hard-to-heal wounds.<br />
The program is headed by Marygrace<br />
Lomboy, a certified wound care nurse<br />
practitioner uniquely qualified to<br />
assist in management of non-healing<br />
wounds. Lomboy assesses wounds,<br />
recommends treatments and can<br />
educate staff and caregivers on how to<br />
manage dressings and treatments.<br />
Sara Wright, a <strong>Hospice</strong> & Community<br />
Care geriatric nurse practitioner, has<br />
been providing geriatric care for more<br />
than 20 years. Wright assists patients,<br />
families and caregivers who are coping<br />
with challenging care issues that may<br />
arise in persons with moderate to<br />
advanced dementia.<br />
While <strong>Hospice</strong> works with a large<br />
number of senior care communities,<br />
in an expanding geographic region,<br />
including all of Lancaster and York<br />
counties and parts of Adams, Berks,<br />
Chester, Dauphin and Lebanon<br />
counties, <strong>Hospice</strong> prides itself on<br />
the individualized attention the<br />
