Reunion Dinner of
HKUEdRDAA

The Hong Kong University Education Faculty Research
Degrees Alumni Association (HKUEdRDAA) had a
reunion dinner on August 24, 2011 in Beijing. The
dinner was organised with help from Dr Jin Leili of
Tsinghua University. We were joined by 22 research
degree graduates, current students, and respective
members of their family. In particular, we were
honoured by the presence of some of our graduates
who have made notable achievements in their careers,
including Professor Winnie Cheng from The Hong Kong
Polytechnic University and Dr Icy Lee from The Chinese
University of Hong Kong. We shared our pleasant
experiences and discussed possible collaboration plans
while enjoying a hearty meal. We also exchanged offers
of hospitality to visit one another in the future.

Association Club were held on December 10, 2011.

with the members her insights on the topic ‘The Slow
Dance of Change - Into the Third Year After Taking over
Pegasus Philip Wong Kin Hang Christian Primary cum
Junior Secondary School’.

Mrs Sophia Chan (MEd 1998)
Mrs Chan Tsang Kin Lok, Sophia, was given the ‘China
Top 100 Outstanding Women Entrepreneur Award’
( ). The event was organised
by the China Outstanding Women Association and
was held on December 18, 2011 at the Great Hall of
the People in Beijing. Mrs Chan has held the position
of Chief Principal of the Hong Kong Ling Liang Church
Kindergarten since 1996. The Ling Liang Church
Kindergarten is a non-profit and Christian-founded
kindergarten. Believing that every child is an individual
with great potential, Mrs Chan encourages children to
explore knowledge through active teaching methods.
She promotes a well-rounded education for children,
along with music education, with the objective of
providing children with a happy childhood filled
with beautiful memories. She also engages in various
community services and exchange activities with peers
from Mainland China and overseas.
