ATHLETICS<br />

The <strong>Ferris</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong> Bulldogs are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).<br />

Varsity teams compete in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (NCAA Division I) in ice hockey and<br />

the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NCAA Division II) in all other sports. <strong>Ferris</strong> student<br />

athletes participate in 17 varsity sports: golf, tennis, basketball, indoor and outdoor track, cross-country,<br />

softball, soccer, and volleyball for women; golf, tennis, basketball, indoor and outdoor track, crosscountry,<br />

hockey and football for men.<br />

CAREER SERVICES<br />

The Career Services Office is available to educate, guide, and support students, alumni, faculty, staff,<br />

and employers throughout the career development process. This includes career planning, career<br />

research, skills attainment, job search document preparation, interviewing, internships, job postings,<br />

and success in the workplace.<br />

Students/alumni have access to Bulldog CareerLink, which is a state-of-the-art internet-based software<br />

package that allows students to write resumes, upload their resumes into the FSU Resume <strong>Book</strong><br />

database, search and apply for employment/internship opportunities and sign up for on-campus<br />

interviews and events. On-campus interviews take place both fall and spring semesters with<br />

approximately 200 employers participating per academic year.<br />

Career Services takes part in many campus activities and holds many workshop sessions on a variety of<br />

job-search techniques, all of which teach students at every academic level how to transfer their in-andout-of-classroom<br />

experiences to the work world. Career Services coordinates a variety of Career Fairs<br />

to assist students in connecting with employers who are hiring interns and full-time employees. These<br />

career fairs consistently bring 120+ employers to campus. Every fall Career Services partners with<br />

Student Leadership and Activities to coordinate a Professional Career and Leadership Conference,<br />

bringing in a variety of presenters and keynote speakers to discuss the impact of leadership upon career<br />

success.<br />

Students can register with Bulldog CareerLink and view a whole array of other career/employmentrelated<br />

information on our website at www.ferris.edu/careerservices. Walk-in assistance is available at<br />

the Career Services office in Rankin Student Center Room 135, M-F 8am - 5pm.<br />

TRANSFER SERVICES CENTER<br />

GENERAL INFORMATION<br />

The Transfer Services Center fosters student success and promotes access to higher education by<br />

facilitating successful transfer of college and articulated credit. For post-secondary and community<br />

college students, it helps with services such as transfer admissions, transfer articulation agreements,<br />

transfer equivalencies and transfer guides. For high school students, the office assists with articulated<br />

credit, concurrent enrollment and dual enrollment.<br />
