By all accounts the “Glow<br />
in the d<strong>ARC</strong>” golf<br />
tournament was a rousing<br />
success! The weather<br />
conditions were perfect. The<br />
crowd was in the mood for<br />
a night of fun and got it. As<br />
many of you know, playing<br />
golf in daylight is a challenge<br />
in itself, but playing in the<br />
dark is an experience both<br />
golfers and non golfers could<br />
enjoy. Laughter could be<br />
heard all over the golf course.<br />
The glowing golf balls flying<br />
through the air and rolling<br />
up to the green surrounded<br />
by glowing fluorescent lights<br />
was a sight to see. All the<br />
players were treated to a<br />
lovely picnic between the<br />
two events as we waited for<br />
the sun to set and darkness<br />
to set in. After the Glow<br />
Golf Tournament, trophy’s<br />
were awarded to the nine<br />
In the Spirit of the d<strong>ARC</strong><br />
Wayne Horning took the<br />
Glow in the d<strong>ARC</strong> to an<br />
extreme!<br />

the first Glow in the d<strong>ARC</strong> Golf<br />

hole winners. Ribbons were awarded to<br />
the second through sixth place winners.<br />
The Glow Golf winners were treated<br />
to bottles of Champagne! A fun raffle<br />
was held with prizes that included golf<br />
apparel, gift certificates to Loudmouth<br />
Golf, a Taylor Made putter and many<br />
other great gift certificates and prizes.<br />
The grand prize was two VIP tickets to a<br />
Playing in the d<strong>ARC</strong>.<br />
After finishing the 3<br />
holes in the dark, the<br />
golfers became the<br />
cheering section.<br />
The day began<br />
with 9 holes on a<br />
90 degree day<br />
New York Yankees baseball game in New<br />
York City valued at $525, donated by the<br />
New York Yankees.<br />
We have already started planning the 2013<br />
Glow in the d<strong>ARC</strong> tournament. Stay<br />
