How to pay<br />

There are many payment options available to you:<br />

1. Internet – log in to the Student Inform<strong>at</strong>ion System, select<br />

‘My Finances’ then the relevant ‘View/Pay…’ option. Use your<br />

credit card (Visa or MasterCard) to pay your account. Payment<br />

may take 2-3 working days to process.<br />

2. Telephone – Call 1300 134 368 24 hours a day, 7 days a week<br />

for the cost of a local call within Australia. Pay your account with<br />

your credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Have your credit card and<br />

Payment Reference Number (on your Fee Account) ready.<br />

3. BPAY® – Contact your particip<strong>at</strong>ing bank to make a payment<br />

directly from your cheque, savings account or credit card (Visa<br />

or MasterCard). The <strong>University</strong> Biller Code is 53181. Have your<br />

Payment Reference Number (on your Fee Account) ready.<br />

4. Mail – Make cheques or money orders payable to <strong>Flinders</strong><br />

<strong>University</strong> and mail to the Cashiers Office, GPO Box 2100,<br />

Adelaide SA 5001. You must quote your Student or Payment<br />

Reference ID number on the reverse of your cheque/money<br />

order.<br />

5. In Person – Present your Fee Account <strong>at</strong> the Cashiers Office,<br />

Ground Floor, Registry Building, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday,<br />

for payments by cash, cheque and EFTPOS using your cheque,<br />

savings account or credit card (Visa or MasterCard).<br />

Know when classes start<br />

Make sure you know when classes commence. Some classes<br />

are held in altern<strong>at</strong>ing weeks or may not start until l<strong>at</strong>er in the<br />

semester. Print your timetable.<br />

Collect your Student ID card<br />

Your Student ID card is required to borrow books from the<br />

Library, obtain an academic transcript, and receive student<br />

transport concessions. You must be enrolled for 2012 in order to<br />

obtain a card, which will show your full or part-time st<strong>at</strong>us for<br />

the year.<br />

You can obtain a Student ID card from the Central Library. Do<br />

this as soon as possible after enrolling to avoid delays. If you<br />

already have a student card from previous study <strong>at</strong> <strong>Flinders</strong>,<br />

you can obtain a 2012 enrolment sticker from the Enrolment<br />

Support Centre in the Central Library or on the Plaza during<br />

Orient<strong>at</strong>ion Week.<br />

Getting to <strong>Flinders</strong><br />

Public transport inform<strong>at</strong>ion and inform<strong>at</strong>ion on car pooling,<br />

car parking and parking permits can be found by following The<br />

Investig<strong>at</strong>e scholarships<br />

A wide range of <strong>University</strong>, government and non-government<br />

scholarships are available to students. Selection is normally<br />

based on academic merit and/or demonstr<strong>at</strong>ed need. See<br />

Keep your contact details up-to-d<strong>at</strong>e<br />

Keep your personal details on the Student Inform<strong>at</strong>ion System<br />

up-to-d<strong>at</strong>e <strong>at</strong> all times, in particular your address, telephone<br />

number and emergency contacts.<br />

Read your email regularly<br />

Your <strong>University</strong> email is used for enrolment and study-rel<strong>at</strong>ed<br />

communic<strong>at</strong>ion so make sure you check it regularly.<br />

All students are expected to familiarise themselves with the<br />

policies and procedures rel<strong>at</strong>ing to study <strong>at</strong> <strong>Flinders</strong> <strong>University</strong>.<br />
