Safety Systems Leadership
Airbag Evaluation Platform
Freescale and the Bosch Group’s Automotive
Electronics Division have collaborated to
leverage their system expertise and global
leadership positions by introducing a
cost-effective, scalable and ready-to-use
automotive airbag evaluation platform for
the growing automotive safety segment in
emerging markets.
The new airbag evaluation platform is based
on chipsets from the Freescale Qorivva 32-bit
MCU family and Bosch’s airbag ASSP family
and is compatible with sensors from both
companies. The platform demonstrates verified
combinations between parts to deliver cost
savings, scalability and reduced time to market.
Benefits
• Verified combination between MCU, ASSP
and sensors
• Accelerated time to market using airbag
system evaluation software
• ECU-level debug and test over serial
communication interfaces
• Fully supported application-level debug and
test using MCU ecosystem
• Friendly graphical user interface (GUI)
• Compatible with Bosch sensors or with
