Activate a dark theme and wallpaper<br />
Select Menu > Settings and Themes > General. To change the wallpaper, on the home<br />
screen, select Options > Change wallpaper.<br />
Deactivate background animation effects<br />
Select Menu > Settings and Themes > General > Options > Theme effects > Off.<br />
Decrease the brightness of the display<br />
In the display settings, select Brightness.<br />
Deactivate the Big clock screen saver<br />
Select Menu > Settings and Themes > Screen saver > None.<br />
Network use<br />
• If you are listening to music or otherwise using your device, but do not want to<br />
make or receive calls, activate the offline profile.<br />
• Set your device to check for new mail less frequently.<br />
• Use a Wi-Fi connection to connect to the internet, rather than a packet data (GPRS<br />
or 3G) connection.<br />
• If your device is set to use both GSM and 3G networks (dual mode), the device uses<br />
more power when searching for the 3G network.<br />
Set your device to use only the GSM network<br />
Select Menu > Settings and Connectivity > Network > Network mode > GSM.<br />
Deactivate Bluetooth when not needed<br />
Select Menu > Settings and Connectivity > Bluetooth > Bluetooth > Off.<br />
Stop your device scanning for available Wi-Fi networks<br />
Select Menu > Settings and Connectivity > Wi-Fi > Options > Settings > Show Wi-<br />
Fi availability > Never.<br />
Establish a packet data (3G or GPRS) connection only when needed<br />
Select Menu > Settings and Connectivity > Admin. settings > Packet data > Packet<br />
data connection > When needed.<br />
