Moroso
A Danish classic – design ”Savak” – in bold
combination with mellow leather on the organically
shaped pouffes from the ”Fjord” collection, designed
by Patricia Urquiola. The same designer is also
responsible for Moroso’s new ”Highland” sofa,
which was on display in the “Luna” design.
The pulse in Milan
Every year, design enthusiasts in their thousands make the pilgrimage to Milan, the
Mecca of fine furniture, to find inspiration and to see the latest trends in the sector.
Redesign is the centre of attention and can be seen everywhere at both the furniture fair
and in the city’s many showrooms. The focus is on form, new material combinations and,
not least, the details. Experimental combinations using wool, plastic, fur, leather and
wood provide scope for individual freedom and a style unconstrained by rules and laws.
Mixtures, felt, and soft surfaces with attractive, almost tailor-made details dominate at the
trend-setting Italian furniture manufacturers, where Gabriel’s fabrics were represented in
a record range.
Antidiva
Both the inspiration for the ”Lucy”
chair and the name derive from the
Beatles’ song ”Lucy in the Sky”.
The network structure of the “Pixels”
design highlights the chair’s geometric
lines, which were designed
by Duilio Forte.
Kagan
The ”New York Collection” includes over
50 designs of Vladimir Kagan’s classic furniture.
One of these designs, the ”Biscuit” sofa, was exhibited
in an elegant combination of the ”Nobel” and ”Gaja” designs.

Ferlea
Bonaldo
Seat and back look like two independent
elements, but they are joined via
a flexible frame in Ron Arad’s new
”Ron-alda” sofa. The exciting construction
is emphasized by the two-colour
upholstery in “Comfort” design.
The fun seventies-inspired ”Pop” armchair with its
pouffe was on display in a trendy combination
of red lacquer and wool felt – design “Europost”.
Enzo Berti is the designer behind Ferlea’s new
models.
Mimo
The big comfortable ”Seventy” sofa is upholstered in the “Nobel” design
by Mario Mazzer. The sofa’s two different types of back cushions invite
relaxation as well as
traditional use.

Artelano
Both Christophe Pillet's new sofa ”People” with
adjustable back cushions and the ”Siesta” chair
with the smart mobile foot support designed by
Studio Eoos, were presented in the popular felt
wool quality – ”Luna” and ”Europost” design.
Cassina
Sitland
Dorigo Design has designed the multi-modular ”Pat”
for waiting areas: a piece of furniture which radiates
serenity and balance in both design and material.
The Europost design’s matted surface underscores
the chair’s image in the best possible way.
Patrick Jouin’s living, sensuous design creates a sociable
atmosphere and radiates warmth and conviviality.
The soft lines in the ”Kami” modular system are emphasized
by a colour contrasting with the ”Tucana” fabric.

Molteni
Luxurious fully upholstered beds with a
combination of the designs “Luna” and “Mira”
characterize the Molteni bedroom department.
Much attention has been paid to the details,
and the transverse decorative seams convey a
modern and exclusive look.

Fendi Casa
Refined colours and hypermodern material combinations
were to be found at Fendi Casa; crocodile and iguana
prints in combination with wool, leather and fur.
The new ”Gea” sofa was presented in an ivory-white
”Gaja” with a fur throw.
Sedie Friuli Fornasarig
The model ”James” upholstered in a spring-fresh pale
green ”Gaja” and ”Comfort” was the centre of attention
at Sedie Friuli Fornasarig. The fifties-inspired model is
available as armchair and two- and three-seater sofas.
