<strong>Flint</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Arts</strong><br />
Incorporated in 1928, <strong>the</strong> FIA is a privately<br />
supported, non-pr<strong>of</strong>it organization. It is one<br />
<strong>of</strong> Michigan’s most significant cultural and<br />
educational resources, serving people <strong>of</strong> all<br />
ages and interests.<br />
The <strong>Institute</strong> is supported entirely through<br />
memberships, contributions from individuals<br />
and businesses, earned income from<br />
endowments, grants from trusts, government,<br />
and foundations.<br />
The <strong>Institute</strong>’s collections and temporary<br />
exhibitions are open daily (except Mondays and<br />
national holidays). Donations are appreciated.<br />
Art classes for adults and children, lectures,<br />
films, tours and o<strong>the</strong>r special events are also<br />
<strong>of</strong>fered as an integral part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Institute</strong>’s<br />
educational mission.<br />
