He is the author of Color Theory Made Easy and has lectured on color theory at many leading U.S. Art Schools. Sandy Atkinson produced the PBS series Country Basket Weaving and has authored five books on weaving. She teaches basketry throughout the USA, and owns a basket shop in Lennon, Michigan. Janette Borke studied housing and interiors at Wayne State University. She has studied weaving with Michigan master weavers and specializes in wet and needle felting. Kari Buzewski has a BFA in fine arts and fashion design from Columbus College of Art and Design. She specializes in silk painting and fashion illustration and teaches and exhibits throughout the region. Marty Lawrence Calhoun has a BS in Vocational and Special Education. She is co-curator of Michigan Quilt Artists Invitational. She specializes in hand-dyed fabrics and wearable art. Igor Macherkevich has a BA in graphic design from Moscow Art College of Design and an MFA from Moscow State Pedagogical University. He is a full-time practicing graphic designer. Connie Spooner has a minor in art from Wayne State University. She has studied felting techniques at the Midwest Felting Symposium and abroad. She often combines beading with wet and needle felting techniques. Alice Foster-Stocum has taught at the FIA since 1982. She earned a degree at Michigan State University and studied under several renowned fiber artists.
