The MorphoSmart Optic (MSO) is a
precision optical biometric fingerprint
terminal designed for fast capture of
quality fingerprint images for enrollment,
authentication, and identification. It
features a sculpted housing to optimize
fingerprint acquisition, or is offered
without the housing, as an OEM solution
for integration to manufacturer’s
specifications.
Depending on the model, the
MorphoSmart Optic offers remote and/or
local matching. Remote matching captures
an image and sends it to a host PC
running MorphoSoft for template
comparison. Local matching captures,
encodes, and discards the original image,
and compares the retained template to the
local database on the terminal.
Communications are made to the host PC
via USB (MSO100/300/OEMs) or RS-232
(MSO200/OEM) interfaces.
The MorphoSmart Optic is available by
itself, or as part of SAGEM Morpho’s ready
enrollment systems, the MorphoAccess
Enrollment Suite and the Morpho ®
Enrollment Kit for ActiveX ® applications,
the MorphoSmart Optic offers a flexible
solution for fast, precise capture of quality
fingerprint images.
