Cushioning<br />

PROTECT the performance and improve the operating life of pouch cells.<br />

Properties and Benefits :<br />

PF40 and SF50 ensure a stable Compression Force Deflection<br />

(CFD) over a wide range of compression rate (%), which makes it<br />

possible to compensate for battery cells’ expansion and design<br />

tolerances.<br />

Over battery’s lifetime the foams maintain their properties (very<br />

low Compression-Set and high Resiliency), even under extreme<br />

conditions of temperature and compressive force.<br />

With those properties, they are able to maintain an optimal<br />

range of pressure on cells and maintain thermal contact between<br />

cells and heat sink.<br />

Moreover, PF40 and SF50 protect your cells against shocks and<br />

vibrations, increasing the battery pack safety. They are standard<br />

products whose properties (like CFD behavior) can be adapted to<br />

your design and technical requirements.<br />

If you need a flame retardant interface, SF50 is listed UL94 V0.<br />

Thermal Management<br />

PROTECT batteries against overheating and electrical shorts.<br />

Properties and Benefits:<br />

Our DPL solutions offer a wide range of Thermal Interface<br />

Materials (TIM), ranging from very soft gap pads to firm silicone<br />

rubbers to coated fabrics.<br />

DPL products offer an excellent thermal conductivity, ranging<br />

from 1.0 to 3.0 W/mK, according to ASTM D5470 and ASTM<br />

E1530. They thus enhance interface heat transfer and aid battery<br />

to cool down. Moreover, they are able to homogenize temperatures<br />

across the cells and hence improve battery life time.<br />

In addition to this, DPL products offer an outstanding electrical<br />

isolation (greater than 5 kV/mm), which makes it possible to<br />

protect your cells against any electrical short hazards, improving<br />

greatly the battery pack safety.<br />

DPL products are all flame retardant, most of them being UL94<br />

V-0.<br />

To better meet your needs, they are also offered with reinforcement<br />

options.<br />

Multi-Purpose<br />

PROTECT batteries against vibration, overheating and electrical shorts.<br />

Properties and Benefits :<br />

MPS is a unique compression sponge (conformable interface<br />

material) which combines 3 major properties :<br />

1) It has a very low Compression Set / high resiliency, and it<br />

maintains those properties over battery lifetime, even under<br />

extreme conditions of temperature and compression.<br />

2) It offers an efficient thermal conductivity and makes it<br />

possible to improve cooling efficiency between uneven surfaces.<br />

It is able to homogenize temperatures along the battery cells and<br />

hence improve battery life.<br />

3) It acts as a good electric insulator and thus protect your<br />

battery cells against shorts.<br />

MPS is flame retardant (UL94 V0).<br />

Sealing<br />

PROTECT battery packs from external environment hazards.<br />

Properties and Benefits:<br />

Our sealing solutions for battery packs offer outstanding water<br />

tightness, by sealing out moisture and dust. A very efficient air &<br />

water seal is already achieved at only 30 % compression rate.<br />

DYNAFOAM and SF12 show a low water absorption and a low<br />

Compression-Set (high resiliency), and this over a wide service<br />

temperature range. They offer some harder or softer versions to<br />

better meet your needs.<br />

Thanks to its unique Foam-In-Place system, DYNAFOAM makes it<br />

possible to enhance deeply your productivity for large volume<br />

applications.<br />

Thermal Insulation<br />

PROTECT battery packs from external temperature variations.<br />

Properties and Benefits :<br />

HPI 40.0 brings a very low thermal conductivity (< 0.040 W/mK)<br />

even at small thicknesses. It is very light and easy to assemble. It<br />

has low oil and water absorption, and can be molded into 3D<br />

shapes desired by the customer.<br />

If you need a flame retardant interface, SF12 is UL94 V0 listed.<br />

Our solutions insulate the battery pack from external<br />

temperature variations, which enables to save battery energy<br />

and improve its autonomy. Moreover, by minimizing the effect<br />

of extreme temperatures which can occur in summer or<br />

wintertime, they improve battery lifetime.<br />
