<strong>Yoga</strong> classes meet once per week for one hour and fifteen minutes in length. Chair Tai<br />

chi will meet for a 45 minute class each week. All other classes meet once per week for<br />

one hour in length. All class supplies are provided by <strong>FMH</strong> <strong>Wellness</strong> <strong>Center</strong>. <strong>Yoga</strong> is<br />

done without shoes. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for all of the above classes.<br />

If an occasional make up class is needed, you may <strong>at</strong>tend any of the above classes<br />

during your current session.<br />

Fees: Eight-week sessions of <strong>Yoga</strong> are $88.00 and seven-week sessions are $77.00.<br />

Eight-week sessions of Pil<strong>at</strong>es are $80.00 and seven-week sessions are $70.00.<br />

Six-week sessions of Easy Tai chi are $48.00 and seven-week sessions are $56.00.<br />

Eight-week sessions of Chair Tai Chi are $72.00.<br />

A “package price” to sign up for both yoga and pil<strong>at</strong>es is available for $150.00.<br />

You may “drop-in” for individual classes <strong>at</strong> a $15.00/class fee.<br />

You may also join the yoga, pil<strong>at</strong>es & tai chi sessions <strong>at</strong> anytime if space permits and<br />

the price will be adjusted accordingly.<br />

*Class will not meet on Monday, 5/30/05 to observe Memorial Day.<br />

*Easy Tai Chi class on Thursday will skip 6/2/05.<br />

Class Descriptions:<br />

Beginner <strong>Yoga</strong>: <strong>Classes</strong> include basic h<strong>at</strong>ha yoga postures, bre<strong>at</strong>h awareness and<br />

relax<strong>at</strong>ion of the body and mind. You will be guided to work <strong>at</strong> your own pace during<br />

classes, therefore this class is appropri<strong>at</strong>e for both the beginner and to those who wish<br />

to revisit the basics. You may resign up for this class as many times as you like!<br />

Continue <strong>Yoga</strong> Practice: Recommended for those who have taken a previous yoga<br />

session or practiced yoga in the past. We will continue to enhance your practice with<br />

the introduction of additional postures and increased relax<strong>at</strong>ion!<br />

Pren<strong>at</strong>al <strong>Yoga</strong>: Gentle stretching, toning and relax<strong>at</strong>ion for the pregnant woman. You<br />

must be beyond your first trimester to register. Please bring a pillow to class.<br />

Beginner Pil<strong>at</strong>es: A m<strong>at</strong> based workout, which focuses on strengthening the<br />

“powerhouse” muscles in the center or core of the body th<strong>at</strong> are instrumental in<br />

maintaining good posture and proper body alignment. You may resign up for this class<br />

as many times as you like!<br />

Continue Pil<strong>at</strong>es Practice: Suggested for those who have taken <strong>at</strong> least one previous<br />

pil<strong>at</strong>es session. You will continue to progress and advance your practice of pil<strong>at</strong>es with<br />

additional exercises and build the level of intensity in the workout.<br />

Easy Tai Chi: A basic introduction to tai chi practice with a special emphasis on<br />

simplicity th<strong>at</strong> is easy to learn and fun to do. All the benefits of tai chi including<br />

relax<strong>at</strong>ion and mental awareness will be experienced! Tai chi also improves balance<br />

and body alignment. You may resign up for this class as many times as you like!<br />

Chair Tai Chi: A NEW Class <strong>at</strong> <strong>FMH</strong> <strong>Wellness</strong> <strong>Center</strong>! A gentle mix of hand, arm, and<br />

foot movements from tai chi, which will be preformed from the se<strong>at</strong>ed position in a<br />

chair. This class is gre<strong>at</strong> for those who may find the regular standing and walking<br />

movements of tai chi difficult or too strenuous on their lower limbs. The benefits of class<br />

will still include mind-body awareness, improved coordin<strong>at</strong>ion and flow of energy<br />

throughout the body.<br />
