SUMMARY
Trigan Resources of Aurora, Ontario owns eight contiguous claims in the southwest part of Methuen
Township, covering the western portion of a gabbroic body known as the West Gabbro.
In August 2003 Trigan Resources carried out a drilling program often holes (WG-1 to WG-10) for a total
of 405 m to test the West Gabbro for its aggregate potential.
The drill holes intersected medium grained gabbro with adsorbed metasedimentary inclusions cut by
granite dykes. All three lithologies form tough, cohesive rocks which should have properties suitable for
aggregate resource material.
Representative bulk samples were taken from each borehole and submitted for aggregate testing. Results
of these tests are pending.
INTRODUCTION
The Trigan West Gabbro Methuen Property was acquired for its potential as a source of high quality
bedrock aggregate.
In July and August of 2003 a ten-hole diamond drilling program was undertaken to evaluate the quality of
the bedrock as an aggregate resource in an area adjacent to and east of the railway line. Ten vertical holes
were drilled to depths of between 100 and 150 m for a total of 405.2 m. Samples of core have been
submitted for aggregate testing.

PROPERTY
Location and Access
The property is located in the south half of Methuen Township in southern Ontario (Figure 1). The
western boundary of the property is on the Township line between Methuen and Burleigh and Drummer
Townships to the west. Regional road No. 6 runs north to south approximately l km west of the property
and provides the easiest means of access. A dirt trail running eastwards from this road provides foot
assess to the northwest part of the property (Figure 2). The CPR branch rail line from Havelock to the
Unimin operation at Nephton crosses the property from south to north.
Drill access to the property is greatly impeded by private land on one hand and by rough terrain and
swamp on the other. Negotiations the railway operators for access up the railway line and with private
land owners for the easiest access eastwards from Regional road #6, were both unsuccessful. Instead the
drill rig had to be mobilized from the road running around the southwest arm of Kasshabog Lake. This
route had to be carefully laid out to avoid steep slopes and the maze of swamps typical of the area (Figure
2).
The topography of the northern part of the property is characterized by a rugged ridge of red granite. As
the gabbro contact is approached from the north, the terrain becomes more moderate but is characterized
by extensive, beaver-dammed swamps.

Property Description and Status
The property is registered in the name of Trigan Resources Inc. 445 Beacon Hall Drive, Aurora, Ontario.
L4G 3G8. The property consists of eight contiguous claims located within Concessions IX to Xll and Lots
4 to 9 of the southern half of Methuen Twp in Southern Ontario. The claims were recorded between
December 9* 1999 and March 6th 2000 (Figure 2 and Table 1). Previous assessment work on these claims
was filed December 5* 2001 (Submission No.2.22696, Transaction No.WO 190.31321).
Extensions of Time on these claims (except 1240130) was applied for and granted by the Provincial
Recording Office. Claim 1240120 was extended to September 6* 2003 and claims 1240115, 1240142,
1240150, 1240154, 1240155 and 1240164 to September 10th 2003.
Claim 1240130 has assessment applied to the amount of 514,670.

REGIONAL GEOLOGY
Methuen Township is underlain by mainly northeast-trending Late Precambrian, Grenville
metasedimentary rocks intruded by younger granitic gneisses, granites syenites and gabbros. The
metasedimentary rocks have been subjected to multiphase deformation and regional metamorphism.
Contact metamorphism is evident especially around some of the gabbroic intrusives. Flat lying
Ordovician limestone and dolomitic limestone occurs as isolated outliers in the southern part of the
Township (ODM Map 1960e).
Two ovoid-shaped, easterly-trending, basic to intermediate intrusions semi-conformably intrude the
Grenville metasediments in the area of the property (Figure 2). These two intrusions, referred to as the
East Gabbro and the West Gabbro, vary in composition through gabbroic anorthosite to gabbro to
monzonite. The gabbroic anorthosite and gabbro portions of the intrusions are the focus for the
establishment of an aggregate resource. In the easternmost part of the Eastern Gabbro, gabbroic
anorthosite hosts a pipe-like occurrence of semi-massive to massive ilmenite mineralization.
PROPERTY GEOLOGY
The claims primarily cover the basic to intermediate intrusive rocks of the West Gabbro, which to the
north and south is in contact with reddish granitoid rocks, commonly described as "red granite", of
variable composition and texture.

The gabbro typically consists of 1:1 plagioclase and mafic minerals (augite and/or hornblende). Near
surface weathering of this rock imparts a reddish hue to the plagioclase but is fresh samples the
plagioclase is light grey. The contacts between the gabbro and the red granite are very diffuse; in the
contact area there appears to be much intermixing of the two rocks possibly as inclusions of granite in
gabbro or remobilization of the granite at the gabbro contact and intrusion of this remobilized material
into the gabbro.
On a regional scale it appears that the gabbro is intruded into the granite (i.e. the granite is earlier than the
gabbro) but in detail in the diamond drill core it is obvious that later granite dykes cut the gabbro. This
could result from remobilization of the granite after intrusion of the gabbro
The granitoid rocks outside the limit of the gabbro commonly contain inclusions of banded or gneissic
metasedimentary rocks which generally maintain their orientation to the regional trends.
WORK CARRIED OUT
Introduction
Previous work by Trigan Resources on the East Gabbro has established an extensive resource of high
quality bedrock aggregate in the area of the gabbro southeast of the titanium occurrence. Trigan viewed
the West Gabbro as another possible high quality gabbro aggregate resource with the added advantage of
proximity to a rail line and use of this as a mode of transportation.
Reconnaissance mapping and sampling of the West Gabbro in 2001 confirmed the presence of the gabbro
and a sample sent for aggregate testing came back with favourable results. Before proceeding further it
was decided to test the area immediately east of the rail track by drilling 10 widely spaced (200 - 300 m)
vertical diamond drill holes, each to a depth of approximately 50 m. This drilling provided fresh material
for aggregate testing and provided information regarding the consistency of the material to a depth of 50
m.

Don Phipps supervised the work, logged and sampled the core and wrote this assessment report.
Oakridge Environmental Ltd. carried out property ownership investigations and negotiations and searched
for alternative access routes into the drilling area. They also prepared the borehole location map and the
drill section diagram.
Agile Drilling Inc carried out the diamond drilling, using a Longyear 28 diamond drill machine mounted
on a Komatsu "Morooka" rubber tracked carrier. The drill was mobilized onto the property July 26th and
the drilling program was completed on August 24^.1116 holes were drilled with a BQ thin-wall drill string
providing core slightly less than NQ in size.
Diamond Drilling
Ten vertical holes (WG l to 10) were drilled for a total of 405 m (1329 ft). The following table
summarizes the information on the holes. Drill logs for each hole are filed in the Appendix.

The holes were drilled to a depth of between 31.8 m (104 ft) and 45.7 m (150 ft). Core recovery for all the
holes was excellent. The core is currently stored at the residence of William Brown in Havelock (RR#2,
Havelock, KOL 1ZO).
Borehole Lithology
Rock types encountered included varying proportions of gabbro, granite and minor granodiorite and
hornfelsed metasedimentary inclusions. Gabbro is the dominant rock type in most of the holes. A
breakdown of the percentage of each rock type in the boreholes is given in Table 3
The gabbro is a fresh, grey, medium grained rock with 40 to 50*K) mafic content. Commonly contained
within the gabbro are finer grained, granular gabbroic patches which are probably hornfelsed, partially

absorbed metasedimentary inclusions. The gabbro contains no sulphides and is weakly magnetic.
Boreholes WG-2, 9 and 10 are essentially 100*54 gabbro with minor sedimentary inclusions and minor
granite veining. Boreholes WG-1, 3, 5 and 7 contain > 85*^0 gabbro. Holes WG-4 and 6 contain
significantly less gabbro (24*Xi and y/o respectively) with metasediment being the major lithology.

Granite occurs as dykes cutting through the gabbro. These dykes are rarely more than a meter wide and
commonly only a few centimeters wide. The granite is typically pink, medium to coarse grained with only
minor mafic mineral content. Patches of black tourmaline concentrations occur in the granite. Granite
rarely exceeds lO^o of the core lithology. A more mafic variety of granite (termed granodiorite) is
prominent (44*X)) in borehole WG-8. The granodiorite may be a hybrid rock resulting from the
contamination of granite by either gabbro and/or metasediment.
The metasedimentary inclusions occur in varying concentrations in the gabbro. They are characteristically
finer grained than the gabbro, granular, light grey in colour and, for the most part, lack any igneous
texture. In some inclusions there is some development of igneous texture even to the point of a weakly
porphyroblastic texture. Some metasedimentary inclusions retain evidence of layering or banding.
Boreholes WG-4 and 6 contain significant intersections of metasedimentary material with a
corresponding much lower gabbro content.
Sampling and Aggregate Testing
The core was sampled by taking a 5 to 8 cm piece of core from the start of each row in the core box. This
method ensured a random, unbiased sampling of the core to give a representative sample of each
borehole.
Samples from holes WG-1, 2 and 3 were combined into one sample; these three holes are predominantly
gabbro (87*^, IWYo and 93*54 respectively). Samples from the remaining holes were made into one
sample for each hole for a total of eight separate samples.
The eight samples were submitted to John Emery Geotechnical Engineering Ltd. at 109 Woodbine Downs
Boulevard, Toronto. M9W 6Y1 for aggregate testing. The results of these tests are pending.

Mainly m.g. mafic gabbro (5007o-60"Xo mafics) with many small finer grained patches thought to bc
adsorbed metasedimcntary inclusions. These inclusions are usually 5 to 1 0 cm in core length with
a few up to almost a meter . A total of about 25 0/,, of this section is represented by this finer grained
metasedimentary material
A very heteroaeneous rock with garnet . mafic mineral (hornblende?! and magnetite nch portions
interspersed with gabbroic patches and f.g metasediment patches. Intruded by 37 cm of granite

dyke with contacts at 45 degrees. This unit resembles a skarn rock and is probably an adsorbed
sedimentary inclusion

Vanablo rock of gabbroic composllion and a semi-igneous texture: small feldspar porphyroblasls
occur m a f. g. granular matrix. This appears to be a rock transitional between a hornlelsed
metasediment ana a gabbro. Locally there is weak banding or gneissosity. Weakly magnetic
throughout. Minor small granite dykes.
Typical pink granite with areas which are almost pegmatitic in grain size. Contacts at 20 degrees.
Same gabbro as to 12.60 m above but slightlv more mafic.
Granite dyke with patch of black tourmaline. Contacts at 70 derees to CA
Same gabbro as above.
A zone of reheated, very hard and very tough silicified breccia. Could be an inclusion in the gabbro
