THE EVENT “John Offerdahl’s Broward Health ® Gridiron Grill-Off Food, Wine<br />
& Tailgate Festival” is the ultimate culinary competition for charity, pairing 25<br />
Miami Dolphins legends with top South Florida chefs. During the Grand Grill-<br />
Off, event goers will sample signature dishes paired with a selection of Kendall-<br />
Jackson wines from teams, including fan favorites Zach Thomas, Joe Rose and<br />
Troy Stradford, alongside chefs from Council Oak Steaks & Seafood at Seminole<br />
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Palme d’Or at The Biltmore, Pelican Landing at Hyatt<br />
Regency Pier 66 and more.<br />
The day’s festivities will include a live concert, featuring four-time Academy<br />
of Country Music Nominee Lee Brice, performing his latest single “Parking Lot<br />
Party” and more. American Young will serve as the opening act.<br />
Adding to the excitement, South Florida’s first-ever EGGfest presented by<br />
Smithfield Foodservice will feature Big Green Egg enthusiasts from across the<br />
country. Cookers will show off their skills on the iconic outdoor grill, offering a<br />
selection of food samples to attendees.<br />
The Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Tailgate Zone will engage football fans<br />
with a spirited cornhole and bean bag competition. Guests can view current<br />
University of Florida, Florida State University and University of Miami football<br />
games at the Budweiser Build-a-Bar.<br />
THE CAUSE 100% of John Offerdahl’s Broward Health® Gridiron Grill-Off<br />
Food, Wine & Tailgate Festival net proceeds will benefit Offerdahl’s Hand-Off<br />
Foundation, which directs funds to agencies that “feed the needs of kids in crisis.”<br />
Established by Miami Dolphins Linebacker John Offerdahl, the organization has<br />
raised more than $70,000 to support local charities. Beneficiaries of the <strong>2013</strong><br />
event include 4KIDS of South Florida, HOPE South Florida, Here’s Help, Florida<br />
Restaurant & Lodging Association and the Miami Dolphins Foundation. <br />
