Ms. Jamie Gibbs is a PhD Candidate at the University of South Carolina specializing in 19 th<br />
Century British Literature. As an instructor of record for the First Year English Department, Ms.<br />
Gibbs is responsible for teaching both introductory English courses for incoming students (ENGL<br />
101 and ENGL 102). In her spare time, if such a thing exists, she is actively engaged with the<br />
creative writing community, enjoys photography, paper crafts, board games, video games, movies,<br />
sewing and a plethora of other crafty-type-things.<br />
Mrs. Liza Graham<br />
Band Camp <strong>Summer</strong> Instructor<br />

Mrs. Liza Graham is in her 6th year of teaching at <strong>Hammond</strong> <strong>School</strong> as director of bands, an<br />
instrumental band program for middle and upper school students. She is a graduate from the<br />
Crane <strong>School</strong> of Music in Potsdam, New York with a Bachelors and Masters in Music Education<br />
(Instrumental) with a concentration in trumpet. She has instructed middle school and high school<br />
instrumental bands for 11 years and served as adjunct music instructor at SUNY Jefferson<br />
Community College and The University of South Carolina. She has conducted the Crane <strong>School</strong> of<br />
Music Symphonic Band and Trumpet Ensembles in New York, and many music festivals<br />
nationally. Liza has served on many committees and adjudicated all state festival auditions and<br />
high school marching band competitions throughout the east coast. She has also performed in<br />
numerous instrumental ensembles for over 15 years.<br />

Mr. Mike Harmon is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. Harmon earned his Bachelor of Arts<br />
in Psychology and Education from the University of South Carolina. Prior to starting his own<br />
business, Mr. Harmon worked at several educational institutions where he gained teaching<br />
experience across the board. He has been a part of the <strong>Hammond</strong> community as a teacher,<br />
coach, and host parent since 2007. He remains committed to providing programs designed to<br />
promote positive decision-making and character awareness for students of all ages.<br />
Mrs. Megan Harrison<br />
Groovy Girls <strong>Summer</strong> Camp Instructor<br />

Mrs. Harrison attended the University of South Carolina for undergrad as well as graduate school.<br />
She received her Master of Arts in teaching degree in Elementary Education. She worked in<br />
Richland Lexington <strong>School</strong> District 5 as a literacy interventionist as well as taught 5 th and 3 rd<br />
grades. This is her fourth year at <strong>Hammond</strong> <strong>School</strong> as a 3 rd grade classroom teacher, and she<br />
continues to stay committed to her students. She looks forward to working with kids this summer<br />
and being a role model to younger girls and helping them build life-long skills and friendships.<br />
