GEOS and WG4 | Fittings for Commercial and Public Buildings

GEOS commercial fittings have a twist mount
bearing and are suitable for use in wood, metal,
glass and metal frame doors. They are tested in
accordance with ÖNORM EN 1906 and conform
to the requirements of use category 4.
→ All models are available tested for fire resistance in
accordance with DIN 18273FS and ÖNORM B 3859.
→ The majority of the models can also be used in
emergency escape doors in accordance with EN 179.
Please also take the notes on the individual products
into account.
→ The fittings are marked «GEOS», on fire resistant
fittings the fire-resistance marking is located on the
fire-resistant cover of the support structure.
→ GEOS offers a wide range of plates, with or without
visible screws.
→ GEOS offers additional products such as door
handles, doorstops and window fittings with metal
screens.
→ GEOS offers a special range of fittings for hospitals
and homes of people with special needs.
→ GEOS offers fittings with ball bearings especially for
use in schools.
→ GEOS locks in the 400 series are an addition to the
range. They are also characterised by high load capacity
– see chapter entitled «locks».
GEOS-fittings
GEOS commercial fittings generally include a ball bearing.
By this we mean a twisting handle mount with the
plate and/or with the rose and the substructure in order
to be better able to absorb tensile load that is exerted
on the handle connection. GEOS commercial fittings
are of high quality and are very well suited for use in
situations with unusually high load factors, such as in
schools, hospitals or authority offices.
→ All GEOS commercial fittings are designed as a
female element on both sides.
→ The handle pin is simple to exchange. This enables
easy and exact adjustment to the actual thickness of
the door leaf.
→ The door thickness is usually 38mm – 43 mm; special
door thicknesses must be stated.
WG4-fittings
WG4 commercial fittings are equipped with a commercial
mounting in the form of a metal plain bearing. The
handle is equipped with a firmly pivoted circlip.
