Area of use «emergency escape»
Panic bolts in accordance with EN 1125 are, on the other hand, used on
emergency escape doors in public buildings where the visitors do not know
the function of the emergency escape doors and must be able to use them in
an emergency without instruction when necessary, e.g. in hospitals, schools
or shopping centres.
This is not valid for doors on apartments and doors on single and twofamily
homes and terrace houses.
Fittings:
→ Escape side: rod handles or push rod across the entire width of the door.
→ Outside: door handle, knob or blind plates, tested in accordance with DIN
18273FS. It is not required that the free door handle end must face the
door leaf!
→ Double leaf doors (driving bar lock): rod handle
