Harrington HealthCare at
Hubbard is coming into being in Webster. It will
be an integrated part of the Harrington
healthcare system, which includes not only our
Harrington Hospital and our physician offices at
100 South Street in Southbridge but our
Harrington Physician Services offices throughout
the region.
I understand that these last few months have
been very labor intensive for so many of us.
Those of us at Harrington Hospital and those of us
at Hubbard have worked long hours to integrate
our two systems. Unfortunately, this integration
will result in some lost jobs at Hubbard, as we
wind down the inpatient operation. These moves,
although difficult to make, have been necessary
in order to keep healthcare alive on the
Hubbard campus. The result will be a stronger,
integrated system that delivers quality healthcare
to patients in Southern Worcester County.
To all of you who have labored so diligently,
doing your regular job while at the same time
working to bring these two systems together, I
want to offer my sincere thanks. Your efforts are
greatly appreciated.

Webster Gears Up to Become
Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard
Hubbard Regional Hospital in Webster is scheduled to transition to Harrington HealthCare at
Hubbard on May 4.
In effort to help preserve critical and ambulatory healthcare in Southern Worcester County,
Harrington will lease the current space and continue to provide a variety of outpatient and
medical services, including primary and specialty care, a 24/7 free standing Emergency
Room, Laboratory, Physical Therapy, GI, Radiology and Cardiopulmonary.
For the past several weeks, Harrington leaders have spent significant time at the Webster
campus, analyzing systems and making recommendations, while Hubbard leaders have
traveled to Southbridge to observe the current standards and meet with staff. Please help
us welcome the staff of Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard into our hospital family.
$1.5M in Upgrades Set for Webster
Including Digital Mammography
Harrington management has committed to
$1.5 million in upgrades to the Harrington
HealthCare at Hubbard campus within the
first year of the transition, including Digital
Mammography in May. These upgrades will
bring quality and state-of-the-art care to
the community. The entire campus will
transition to the PACS and Meditech
systems, and several areas of the campus
will receive cosmetic treatments to keep
the building fresh and inviting.

Harrington is launching an 8-week billboard
campaign to announce Harrington HealthCare at

Two Charlton Medical Offices to Open
Harrington’s newest office, a renovated space at 61 N. Main St. in Charlton, opens May 1.
An MRI operation at a larger medical office building on Route 20 in Charlton will begin
operations in June, with the remainder of the building to open in January. The North Main
Street office will open its doors with Family Practice Physician Junjie Fang. Dr. Fang will be
joined by a second Family Practice physician in mid-August. Both offices will operate under
the umbrella of Harrington Physician Services, an affiliate of Harrington Hospital.
The larger Route 20 office will include both
primary care, psychiatry, specialty physicians
and will also be the home of imaging
services, including MRIs that are read by
Harvard Medical Faculty physicians from
Beth Israel Deaconess. The Route 20 office
will also include rehabilitation services, a
phlebotomy draw station ´ and wound care
treatment with hyperbaric oxygen.

Tech Terminology
Were you asked for your computer name the last
time you called the Help Desk and you didn’t
understand the question? Was your response Bertha
or Mildred? Below is a quick guide to the most
commonly used Tech Terminology in the hospital.
PC or Computer Name – The name the IT
department gave to your computer so the
network recognizes it. The name can be located
either on the label on the front of your PC, or by
looking at the upper right hand corner of your
computer desktop (computer screen).
(Example: ADM12)
Printer Name – This can be located by finding
the label on the front of the printer. (Example:
ADM02)
Meditech Application – The portion of the
Meditech software you use. The application
name can be located by looking at the upper
left hand corner of the Meditech Window.
(Example: OE – Harrington Memorial OE *LIVE*).
IP Address – The IP address is a location for a
computer or printer on the Harrington Hospital
network. The IP address for your computer will
be located in the upper right corner of the
computer desktop (computer screen), below
the computer name. The IP address for your
printer will be located on a label on the front of
the printer. (Example: 10.10.1.100)

Family Practice Physician Fang Starts in Charlton
Family Practice Physician Junjie Fang has begun practicing in the newly
opened Harrington Physician Services office at 61 N. Main St. in Charlton.
Dr. Fang, M.D., is accepting new patients of all ages – from newborns to
geriatrics. To schedule an appointment, please call 508-248-6872.
A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Fang
comes to Harrington from the Family Practice Residency program at the
University of Louisville.
Dr. Fang has also practiced at Norton Healthcare Inc. Immediate Care
Center in Louisville and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at the
University of Pennsylvania.
O’Leary, Pediatrician, Begins in Dudley in mid-May
Employee Raffle Raises Big Bucks

Pediatrician Thomas O’Leary, D.O., will begin practicing at 161 West Main
Street in Dudley May 18 and is accepting new patients. To schedule an
appointment, call 508-949-7707. He will join Dr. Peter Scuccimarri, a Family
Practice physician, and Joseph Bartoszek, Physician Assistant, in the socalled
Webster/Dudley office, which recently was renovated to include
state-of-the art equipment and technology.
Dr. O’Leary comes to Harrington from Pediatric Associates of Hampden
County in Westfield. He has been affiliated with Baystate Medical Center
in Springfield since 2003. He is a member of the American Academy of
Pediatrics.
Employee Forums Set
for Harrington, Hubbard,
and Pine Street
CEO Ed Moore will hold employee forums at the
Harrington and Hubbard campuses the second week
of May. The sessions will include a 15-minute
presentation, followed by a question and answer
period. Employees can write questions in advance and
bring them to the forum. The sessions are as follows:

Menard Hired as Physician Liaison, Recruiter
Harrington Hospital has strengthened its physician relations and recruitment
team by hiring Joan Menard as Director of Physician Relations. Menard will
recruit physicians and act as liaison between hospital administration and
the physician base. She will work with Tom Trask, Executive Director of
Physician Services.
“I’m ecstatic to be a part of Harrington,” Menard said. “I see my role not only
as strengthening the relationships between the physicians and the hospital,
but also as strengthening the ties Harrington has with the community.”
A Southbridge resident who grew up in Sturbridge, Menard is actively involved in the community
and is a member of the Southbridge Rotary and a Corporator of Harrington Hospital and
Southbridge Savings Bank. She joins us from Bay Path College, where she was Program Director of
the Central Massachusetts Campus in Charlton.
