PUBLICATION OF IAPL 2012 CONFERENCE PAPERS<br />

In conjunction with the Lexington Books TEXTURES: Philosophy Literature Culture series<br />

(ed. Hugh J. Silverman), the IAPL is pleased to invite conference participants to submit<br />

final versions of their papers <strong>for</strong> possible inclusion in a volume resulting from IAPL<br />

2012.<br />

<strong>The</strong> IAPL reserves the right of first selection on all papers presented at its annual<br />

conferences. Since the number of papers that can be included is limited, selections<br />

will be made on the basis of quality of work and relevance to the theme of the volume.<br />

IMPORTANT SUBMISSION DEADLINES<br />

• Submit TWO hard copies to the registration desk by Friday, June 1.<br />

• Submit an electronic version to iapl2012.conferencepapers@gmail.com, also by<br />

August 1, 2012.<br />

• Final corrected version to be sent to iapl2012.conferencepapers@gmail.com no<br />

later than September 1, 2012.<br />

• Decisions concerning paper acceptance by February 1, 2013.<br />

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS<br />

• Emailed submissions must be saved as Microsoft Word [“.doc”] documents.<br />

• First Submission (due Friday, June 1, 2012) must include ONE Word [“.doc”<br />

document saved under your name [yourname_ESSAY.doc]<br />

• Second Submission (due September 1, 2012) must include SIX Word [“.doc”]<br />

documents attached to a single email:<br />

1. Your corrected essay [yourname_FINALESSAY.doc]<br />

2. Endnotes [yourname_NOTES.doc]<br />

IMPORTANT: Endnotes should be complete <strong>for</strong> first citation, including a<br />

“Hence<strong>for</strong>th cited as [underlined abbreviation of reference].” Do not use<br />

repeating endnotes (such as Ibid or the like) <strong>for</strong> the same text. Subsequent<br />

citation references to the same text should be included in the main body of<br />

the text followed by the italicized abbreviation and the relevant pages.<br />

3. List of abbreviations of references (see above) [yourname_ABBREV.doc]<br />

4. Abstract of paper [yourname_ABSTRACT.doc]<br />

5. Bibliography of works related to your essay and the volume theme<br />

[yourname_BIBLIO.doc]<br />
