SETTLEMENT REACHED IN <strong>IBEW</strong>/RCA SERVICE<br />
COMPANY NEGOTIATIONS AGREEMENT RATIFIED<br />
Negotiations for a renewal <strong>of</strong> the<br />
National Agreement between the<br />
mEW and RCA Se rvice Company<br />
beld III Washlllgton, D.C. from October<br />
12 through October 26, 1983,<br />
resulted in a settlement proposal<br />
whIch was recommended by the<br />
<strong>IBEW</strong> 's National Negotiating Committee<br />
to the members involved. The<br />
settlement was ratined by a substantial<br />
majority on November 4, 1983.<br />
The National Agreement covers<br />
apprOXImately 2600 Electronics<br />
Technicians, Appliance Service<br />
Technicians and Stockpcrsons in I S4<br />
branch locations throughout the<br />
United States, represented by 84 lBEW<br />
Local Unions_<br />
The 3 year Agreement IIlcludes<br />
general annual wage IIl CTl!ases plus<br />
fivc cost-<strong>of</strong>-living payments ad;ustcd<br />
