Severance payment obligations as of the balance sheet date are calculated according to the principles of investment mathematics using a discount rate of 3.5% and taking into account the legal pensionable age under applicable law. Employee turnover is now taken into account in the form of annual turnover rates for the premature termination of employment relationships. Obligations to pay anniversary bonuses are calculated according to the principles of investment mathematics in the same way as severance payment obligations. Other provisions are entered using reasonable and prudent business accounting principles to cover all recognizable risks as of the balance sheet date as well as liabilities which are uncertain in terms of type and amount.
