Scope and Content Note<br />
The ephemera form a comprehensive collection of exhibition annoucements, invitations to gallery and<br />
museum openings, and other small publications documenting exhibitions of a vast number of artists from<br />
Europe and North America. Numerous files include exhibition posters and press articles. Most items were<br />
issued by galleries and museums in Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.<br />
Publications from the United States are mostly by New York City galleries. Also present are publications<br />
from Canada and <strong>Galerie</strong> <strong>Schmela</strong>'s own publications.<br />
Arrangement<br />
This series is divided into two subseries: ephemera concerning single artists, and group shows. Each<br />
