5. <strong>The</strong> date <strong>of</strong> expiration <strong>of</strong> the Permit, and the date upon which the annual Permit<br />
fee shall be due and payable.<br />

105.3.9.4 Permits – Transfer. No Permit shall be transferable except when the business,<br />
operation, occupation, or premises for which the Permit is issued, is transferred, whether by sale<br />
or otherwise, to another person under such circumstances that the ownership after the transfer is<br />
substantially similar to the ownership existing before the transfer.<br />
105.3.9.4.1 Change <strong>of</strong> Location. Any change <strong>of</strong> location for a business, operation, occupation,<br />
or premises shall require filing <strong>of</strong> a new application and payment <strong>of</strong> the applicable fee set forth<br />
in Section 105.3.9.7 <strong>of</strong> this article.<br />

105.3.9.5 Permits – Validity. Unless otherwise set forth on the face <strong>of</strong> the Permit, every Permit<br />
issued in accordance with the provisions <strong>of</strong> this chapter shall be valid for the year stated, or until<br />
voided, revoked, or suspended.<br />

105.3.9.6 Permits – Power <strong>of</strong> Revocation and Suspension. Power <strong>of</strong> Revocation and Suspension<br />
permits shall be in accordance with 105.3.9.6.1 through 105.3.9.6.3<br />
105.3.9.6.1 By the Chief – Notwithstanding any other provisions <strong>of</strong> this article to the contrary,<br />
the Chief shall have the power to revoke or suspend any Permit, at his discretion, upon pro<strong>of</strong> to<br />
the satisfaction <strong>of</strong> the Chief <strong>of</strong> violation by the permittee <strong>of</strong> the provisions <strong>of</strong> this article, the<br />
Rules and Regulations <strong>of</strong> this Department adopted under the authority <strong>of</strong> Section 104.1.1, or the<br />
terms and conditions <strong>of</strong> any Permit as may be specified under the authority <strong>of</strong> Section 105.3.9. <strong>of</strong><br />
this article. Such revocation or suspension shall be in accordance with the provisions <strong>of</strong> 105.5 <strong>of</strong><br />
this article.<br />
105.3.9.6.2 By the Office <strong>of</strong> Finance– Whenever any person fails to comply with any provisions<br />
<strong>of</strong> this chapter pertaining to Contractor’s Liability Insurance or the payment <strong>of</strong> Permit fees, the<br />
Office <strong>of</strong> Finance upon hearing, after giving such person ten days notice in writing, specifying<br />
the time and place <strong>of</strong> hearing and requiring the person to show cause why the Permit should not<br />
be revoked for such failure, may revoke or suspend any one or more <strong>of</strong> the Permits held by such<br />
person. <strong>The</strong> notice shall be served in the same manner as notices are served under Section 21.16<br />
<strong>of</strong> the L.A.M.C.<br />
105.3.9.6.3 Operation After Revocation or Suspension – It shall be unlawful for any person to<br />
engage in any business, operation, or occupation, or use any premises, after the Permit issued<br />
therefore has been suspended or revoked pursuant to the provisions <strong>of</strong> this chapter unless the<br />
Permit has been reinstated or a new Permit issued. Any person who engages in any business,<br />
operation, or occupation, or uses any premises, after the Permit issued therefore has been<br />
suspended or revoked pursuant to the provisions <strong>of</strong> this section, and before such suspended<br />
Permit has been reinstated or a new Permit issued, shall be guilty <strong>of</strong> a misdemeanor.<br />

105.3.9.7 Delinquent Fees – Uncollectible. If the Office <strong>of</strong> Finance finds that any Permit fee due<br />
or believed to be due under the provisions <strong>of</strong> this chapter cannot be collected, or that efforts to<br />
collect any such amount would be disproportionately costly with relation to the probable<br />
