John Field was established when the founding family of a Belgian
company that specializes in highly technical garments, textiles, and
equipment, combined their R&D expertise with their passion for
hunting, nature, and the sporting tradition. Since 1965 John Field has
been creating technical weather resistant clothing for the outdoor,
horse riding and shooting markets.
Technical fabrics include TEX³, a microfiber produced from an
environmentally friendly production process of recycled materials
such as polyester and bamboo; Mosquito Protection, a non-toxic
fabric treatment that enables the fabric to repel mosquitoes, ticks and
horseflies; Chamude® man-made leather offers the elegance of real
leather yet withstands rain, sleet and snow; Technopile®, an
advanced fabric that possesses high heat insulation value although
the fabric is light, breathable, and doesn’t pill.
All rain gear is ultra lightweight, waterproof, and breathable, with
key details like fleece-lined hand-warming chest pockets, magnetic
pocket flaps, a discrete hood attachment system, leg attachment
system inside the coat, and an opening in the back flap for
horseback. In deep olive with discreet orange high-visibility detail,
the Hurricane is both functional and chic.
