opportunities exist and that community members are informed about<br />

upcoming events, resources, opportunities to get involved, and <strong>City</strong><br />

63. Look for opportunities to renew the partnership with SFU by identifying<br />

joint opportunities to help advance lifelong learning in <strong>Burnaby</strong>;<br />

consider including BCIT in the partnership.<br />

Expanding our Horizons<br />

64. Advocate to the federal and provincial governments for funding to<br />

increase the affordability <strong>of</strong> formal learning opportunities.<br />

• Federal government: 1) increase funding to ensure the affordability<br />

and promotion <strong>of</strong> learning opportunities.<br />

• Provincial government: 1) increase funding to ensure the affordability<br />

1) collaborate and co-ordinate regarding existing opportunities;<br />
