Appointments<br />
Your child’s appointment can be made with our scheduling centers. Call Children’s <strong>at</strong> <strong>Town</strong> <strong>Center</strong><br />
scheduling center <strong>at</strong> 404-785-9729. Our scheduling centers are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.<br />
Monday to Friday. If your child needs an X-ray, he does not need an appointment.<br />
If you need to:<br />
• Confirm an appointment call the radiology scheduling center.<br />
• Cancel or reschedule an appointment call <strong>at</strong> least three business days before<br />
the appointment.<br />
Preparing your child<br />
Some radiology exams require prepar<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>at</strong> home before the appointment.<br />

Preauthoriz<strong>at</strong>ion<br />
Most insurance plans require your child’s doctor to get an authoriz<strong>at</strong>ion (sometimes called a<br />
precertific<strong>at</strong>ion) for a radiology exam. To make sure th<strong>at</strong> your child’s exam can be done on the<br />
appointment d<strong>at</strong>e, check with your child’s doctor or insurance provider to make sure the<br />
preauthoriz<strong>at</strong>ion is done.<br />
Wh<strong>at</strong> to bring<br />
• A parent or legal guardian for consent<br />
• A list <strong>of</strong> your child’s medicines and inform<strong>at</strong>ion about your child’s illness or injury<br />
• An insurance card
