Youghal, Kinsale, <strong>and</strong> Cloghakilty's proportion of mony<br />
assessed at the sessions <strong>to</strong> be raised, the said <strong>to</strong>wns alledging<br />
they are not subject but <strong>to</strong> the assizes presentments.<br />
1695. July. Against burning any l<strong>and</strong> but such as is covered with<br />
matty furze, heath, &c.<br />
Against several persons that had left the kingdom <strong>and</strong> gone<br />
in<strong>to</strong> France.<br />
Against Earl Clancarty, <strong>and</strong> others, supposed <strong>to</strong> be in this<br />
kingdom, who lately came from France,<strong>and</strong> others in this county<br />
ready <strong>to</strong> join them. Curia advizat.-That all records of the<br />
Clerk of the Crown, <strong>and</strong> all other records <strong>and</strong> papers of the<br />
county in the Treasurer's h<strong>and</strong>s, be kept in the place under<br />
the Gr<strong>and</strong> Jury room.<br />
1696. Aug. Against trespassers in the forfeited woods of this<br />
county.<br />
An old arrear of £700 is remitted <strong>to</strong> several baronies, <strong>and</strong><br />
they are <strong>to</strong> pay instead thereof £180, which has been advanced<br />
by the Treasurer for the public use of the county.<br />
£303 19s. lid. <strong>to</strong> be raised for several uses.<br />
Sir St. John Broderick <strong>and</strong> L. Clay<strong>to</strong>n traverse the 170 on<br />
the county for Macrony bridge.<br />

That John Mulcoury, an Irish Priest, &c., are out on their<br />
keeping, <strong>and</strong> cannot be taken by warrant : we therefore pray<br />
they may be ordered <strong>to</strong> render themselves by a certain day <strong>to</strong><br />
a Justice of the Peace, or that they may be proclaimed as<br />
rebels <strong>and</strong> trai<strong>to</strong>rs <strong>to</strong> the Government.<br />
Mony raised for 113 foxes-viz., £5 13s.<br />
1697. July. We present that Cornelius Crowly, als. Maddery, of<br />
Skibbareene ; Owen M'Owen, Sullivan, of Kilcaskin parish,<br />
&c., all Irish Papists, have taught school, <strong>and</strong> continue <strong>to</strong> do<br />
so, contrary <strong>to</strong> the Act.<br />
1698. April. The dispute between the county of <strong>Cork</strong>e <strong>and</strong> the<br />
<strong>to</strong>wne of Youghall be referred <strong>to</strong> the Judge at Commons.<br />
The determination of theJudge in common,-l who determines<br />
that the <strong>to</strong>wn of Youghall is chargeable with their proportion<br />
of all summs of money raised on the said county of <strong>Cork</strong>e by<br />
presentments at the assizes), is confirmed by the Judges, as<br />
well as Clonakilty, or any other <strong>to</strong>wn or barony for bridges,<br />
&c.<br />
We present that P. Murrough, titular Vicar-General, <strong>and</strong><br />
Dr. John Slyne, titular Bishop, remain in this kingdom, contrary<br />
<strong>to</strong> the late Act.<br />
1699. 4th April. Names of above 60 persons indicted at this said<br />
assizes.<br />
Against several persons for destroying the spawning salmon,<br />
with <strong>to</strong>rches, wisps, &c., by night.<br />
1701. 13th August, 1701. We present that John Connelly, for-<br />

nierly Vicar of Rossecarbery , still remains in this kingdom,<br />
contrary <strong>to</strong> the Act.<br />
£216 Is. 9d. <strong>to</strong> be raised on the county for several uses,<br />
viz., bridges, &c. ; Treasurer's salary, £30 ; Clerk of the<br />
Crown, for discharging of poor prisoners, who were a great<br />
charge <strong>to</strong> the county.<br />
Several prisoners sentenced last assizes <strong>and</strong> reprieved-it is<br />
desired the Government would order them <strong>to</strong> be transported by<br />
Daniel Pierce , merchant , who is willing <strong>to</strong> transport the same.<br />
1702. 27th July. Certain fees <strong>to</strong> be taken on robberies , executions,<br />
&c., viz .:- At<strong>to</strong>rney , for drawing <strong>and</strong> reading the petition,<br />
3s. 4d . ; Counsel, 10s. ; Clerk of the Crown for warrant , 2s. 6d.<br />
The constables before applotment are <strong>to</strong> give notice <strong>to</strong> the<br />
principal inhabitants of the respective baronys.<br />
£20 <strong>to</strong> any person that shall bring in or kill a proclaimed<br />
Tory.<br />
<strong>Present</strong>ment concerning the trees <strong>to</strong> be planted throughout<br />
the county , according <strong>to</strong> the statute - the proportion of this<br />
whole county is twenty -five thous<strong>and</strong> eight hundred , according<br />
<strong>to</strong> which computation <strong>and</strong> direction , nine trees is the proportion<br />
<strong>to</strong> be yearly planted on each plowl<strong>and</strong> within the respective<br />
baronies <strong>and</strong> parishes of this county.<br />
We present that John Slyne, titular Bishop of <strong>Cork</strong>e, remains<br />
still in this kingdom, exercising ecclesiastical jurisdiction,<br />
contrary <strong>to</strong> the late Act.<br />
£40 <strong>to</strong> be raised <strong>and</strong> levied of the goods <strong>and</strong> chattels of<br />
Charles M'Carthy <strong>and</strong> Donogh -MacCarthy; £20 of it <strong>to</strong> be paid<br />
<strong>to</strong> Frances Parker, widow of Will Parker, who killed Callaghane<br />
M'Callaghane, a proclaimed Tory , <strong>and</strong> lost his life in the<br />
service the other £ 20 <strong>to</strong> be paid <strong>to</strong> Newel for bringing in a<br />
Tory. These Tories were the followers of Charles <strong>and</strong> Donagh<br />
-lacarthy.<br />
PRESENTMENTS of the GRAND JURY Of the COUNTY Of CORKE<br />
at the General Sessions of the Peace, held at B<strong>and</strong>on, 4th<br />
April, 1676.<br />
We present that Marcus Cullane have 2d. per plowl<strong>and</strong> out<br />
of the baronies of East Carbery, &c., <strong>to</strong> be collected by the<br />
High Constables as a reward for discovering thieves.<br />
l lth July, 167 6. Against a person for presenting a bridge<br />
against the able men of the barony.<br />
1683. 17th April, 1683. Against a common Barreter. For way<br />
wardens <strong>to</strong> be appointed by the minister <strong>and</strong> churchwardens of<br />
each parish.<br />
10th July, 1683. We present Will Grady, a person excommunicated,<br />
outlawed, <strong>and</strong> a Roman Catholick, for carrying
