1694. 15th Jan. 1694. Three hundred pounds <strong>to</strong> be raised out<br />

of the county, <strong>to</strong> be disposed of as Rowl<strong>and</strong> Davys, Dean of<br />

Rosse, Edward Hoare, &c., shall order for the publick use, <strong>and</strong><br />

particularly for rewarding those that are employed in reducing<br />

<strong>and</strong> destroying the Torys.<br />

1695. April, 1695. Desiring the court <strong>to</strong> address the Government<br />

for the execution of Crowley, formerly condemned.<br />

July, 1695. Prophauers of the Sabbath <strong>to</strong> be punished.<br />

Oc<strong>to</strong>ber, 1695. Alex. Barring<strong>to</strong>n presented for levying more<br />

money on his barony than he had warrant for. Traversed.<br />

1696. April, 1696. That there are four fryars in the Abby of Timoleage,<br />

<strong>and</strong> two fryars in the Abby of Bantry.<br />

12th of Jan. 1696, That Brit<strong>to</strong>n, the present High Constable,<br />

is necessitated <strong>to</strong> go out of the kingdom, therefore we<br />

present Edm. Cook, &c., as fit persons for High Constables of<br />

Barrimore.<br />

Fiat quoad Cook, if Brit<strong>to</strong>n leave the kingdom, <strong>to</strong> be sworn<br />

before Col. Ja. Barry.<br />

1698. May, 1698. To pull down several wears made cross the river<br />

Ballineboy, in the parish of Ballineboy.<br />

July, 1698. That Tiege Dash had a harper playing in his<br />

house on the Sabbath day, contrary <strong>to</strong> the Act.<br />

That Will Barret is a common swearer <strong>and</strong> blasphemer.<br />

1699. July, 1699. Against N. Green for s<strong>to</strong>pping a high rode. Cap.<br />

<strong>to</strong> issue, <strong>and</strong> the nuisance <strong>to</strong> be remov'd.<br />

Against Eliz. Dennis for being a whore, <strong>and</strong> keeping a common<br />

bawdy house.<br />

1700. April, 1700. For making up the walls of B<strong>and</strong>on by the labour<br />

of the rapists, inhabitants of the parishes of Kilbrogan, &c.<br />

1701. July, 1701. We present that John Barry, als. Snavee, of<br />

Ballihoura, &c., are Torys in arms, <strong>and</strong> abroad on their keeping,<br />

<strong>and</strong> we desire your Worships <strong>to</strong> represent it <strong>to</strong> the Government,<br />

that they may be proclaimed according <strong>to</strong> the Act.<br />

The Widow Jeffer's house, in B<strong>and</strong>on, presented as dangerous<br />

<strong>to</strong> passengers.<br />

1702. 12th of Jan. We present that Richard Gary, late of Moyalloo,<br />

tanner; George Davys, yeoman, &c., are Torys in arms<br />

upon their keeping. We desire, therefore, your Worships<br />

would represent, 3.c., that they may speedily be proclaimed.<br />

Concerning Pet. Murragh, Tit. Vicar-General, December,<br />

1701.<br />

Peter Murragh was formerly, upon a Commission of Oyer<br />

<strong>and</strong> Terminer, tried for staying in the kingdom, contrary <strong>to</strong><br />

the Act for banishing the Titular Archbishops, &c.<br />

He was charged with being Vicar-General of <strong>Cork</strong>e. The<br />

evidence against him not being strong enough for his conviction,<br />

lie was discharged. This happened about three years<br />

ago.<br />

Some months ago Peter Murragh, by vertue of a warrant,<br />

with a mittimus contained in it from Alderman Newinham, was<br />

seized by a Constable in <strong>Cork</strong>e, <strong>and</strong> committed <strong>to</strong> the city gaol,<br />

as Popish Vicar-General of <strong>Cork</strong>e.<br />

'Tis said that Peter Murrogh since his tryal did own <strong>to</strong><br />

Alderman Newinham that he bad been formerly Vicar-General<br />

of <strong>Cork</strong>e, <strong>and</strong> that this was the ground of his commitment.<br />

He owned also he was Vicar-General <strong>to</strong> the Constable.<br />

AN AccOUNT of LANDS belonging <strong>to</strong> y-e SEE of Conlin.<br />

The Book of Reference <strong>to</strong> the Map of Survey of the Barony of<br />

East <strong>and</strong> West Carbury, whereun<strong>to</strong> are annexed two Alphabetical<br />

Indexes. The first, of the several denominations of the l<strong>and</strong>s; the<br />

second, of the names of the respective Proprie<strong>to</strong>rs, in the year one<br />

thous<strong>and</strong> six hundred <strong>and</strong> forty-one; the third, of particular observations.<br />

This is called the Estimate Survey, <strong>and</strong> was taken (A.D. 1653,)<br />

by Commissioners in each barony, according <strong>to</strong> information given<br />

upon oath by the people of the country.<br />

The Commissioners for East <strong>and</strong> West Carbury were Henry<br />

Becher, esq., &c.<br />

The first draught of this survey remains in the h<strong>and</strong>s of Thomas<br />

Becher, of Inniskirkin, esq.<br />

Parish of Faulobish, Neduneh, Bp. of <strong>Cork</strong>e, 6 plowl<strong>and</strong>s, I,000A.<br />

arable, 200A. pasture, 50A. unprofitable. Five plowl<strong>and</strong>s of Neduneh<br />

are situate on the north side of the river B<strong>and</strong>on, <strong>and</strong> the sixth on<br />

the south. Parish of Inchidunnig, Dizart, Bp. of Rosse, propr., 2<br />

plowl<strong>and</strong>s, 600x.<br />

Same parish, Renian, Bp. of Rosse, but claimed by Capt. Hull,<br />

in lease, 3 gneeves, 32.x. The same parish, Cathirduffe, 13p. of R.,<br />

but claimed as above, 3 gneeves, 33x. Same parish, Drumbeg, the<br />

Earl of <strong>Cork</strong>e is said <strong>to</strong> be propr., 6 gneeves, 150x. Observation,<br />

qu.: whether Droumbeg be or be not Bishop's l<strong>and</strong>.<br />

Parish of Rosse beloueth <strong>to</strong> the bishoprick of Rosse :-1 plowl<strong>and</strong><br />

of Gurrancore; 6 gneeves of Tulloghgeehy; 6 gneeves of Farranacantry<br />

; 2 plowl<strong>and</strong>s, 600A. ; Downings, 3 plowl<strong>and</strong>s, 883x.<br />

Gullane, I plowl<strong>and</strong>, 294x.<br />

Upon the 3 plowl<strong>and</strong>s of Kilcroghan is a church <strong>and</strong> 2A. Of<br />

glebe.<br />

Upon the 9 plowl<strong>and</strong>s of Skull are the walls of a church, with<br />

4A. of glebe.
