All that l<strong>and</strong> commonly called Poleherdick , also all those l<strong>and</strong>s<br />

<strong>and</strong> tenements of Carigynearig , adjoining <strong>to</strong> the l<strong>and</strong>s of Poleherdick,<br />

near Gillabbey ; also a parcel of meadow ground, called Inchingangary<br />

, lying in the great isl<strong>and</strong> , called Cloghave , belonging <strong>to</strong> Gillabbey,<br />

over against the l<strong>and</strong>s of Poleherdick, <strong>and</strong> Carrigynearv,<br />

containing by estimation eighteen Irish acres or thereabouts; also<br />

all the clevanes <strong>and</strong> wear, called Beallakilly, Carrigrone , Carrogonapoge,<br />

<strong>and</strong> also one meadow , called Monamullcu , being by estimation<br />

three Irish acres , over against Gillabbymill , with the benefit of the<br />

watercourses running through the said meadow <strong>to</strong> Droope 's mill,<br />

let <strong>to</strong> Capt. Travers , in trust for Dean Davys.<br />

The three plowl<strong>and</strong>s of Kilmacomoge, lying in the barony of<br />

Beare <strong>and</strong> Bantry , in the county <strong>and</strong> diocese of <strong>Cork</strong>, containing by<br />

estimation 400 plantation acres, be the same more or less, let <strong>to</strong><br />

John Hull. In the county books of survey , Kilmocouioge, 3 plowl<strong>and</strong>s,<br />

is 279x. profitable ; more boggy pasture in the sane, 14A.;<br />

Glebe in the same, 2A. la., in the parish of Kilmocarnoge.<br />

The three plowl<strong>and</strong>s of Kilbrogan, Knockbrogan <strong>and</strong> Killbeg,<br />

containing by measure 1,200x. of all sorts, be it more or less, being<br />

part of the manor of St. Finbarry , being in one continent, in the<br />

parish of Kilbrogan , in the county <strong>and</strong> diocese of <strong>Cork</strong>e, let <strong>to</strong><br />

Richard , Earl of <strong>Cork</strong>. In the county books of survey Kilbrogan<br />

<strong>and</strong> Knockbrogan are said <strong>to</strong> be 333A. 2R. 12P. ; <strong>and</strong> Kilbeg, I<br />

plowl<strong>and</strong> , 168A. 2a. ; the Earl of <strong>Cork</strong> is said <strong>to</strong> be proprie<strong>to</strong>r. In<br />

the parchment book it is thus :- Kilbrogan <strong>and</strong> Knockbrogan , 3969.;<br />

<strong>and</strong> Kilbeg , 242A. 2R. 16P. ; all these in the parish of Kilbrogan.<br />

In the aforesaid books of the county <strong>Cork</strong>e. - L<strong>and</strong> lying on the<br />

south side of <strong>Cork</strong>, a part of which is set <strong>to</strong> Dean Davys :- Statesl<strong>and</strong>,<br />

a parcel of Bishopsl<strong>and</strong> , 9x.; Statesl<strong>and</strong> , another parcel of<br />

the same, 35A. 2a.; a parcel of meadow <strong>and</strong> marsh l<strong>and</strong>, called<br />

NOTE.-All the acres mentioned in this paper are reckon'd as<br />

profitable in the books of survey aforesaid, unless when it is otherwise<br />

exprest in this paper.<br />

In the h<strong>and</strong>s of the Treasurer of the county <strong>Cork</strong>e are three books,<br />

each of them containing an account of the l<strong>and</strong>s in the several<br />

baronies of the said county <strong>Cork</strong>e. There are also two other books<br />

in his cus<strong>to</strong>dy, containing copies of the presentments made by gr<strong>and</strong><br />

juries: one of them containing copies of the several presentments<br />

made by Gr<strong>and</strong> Juries at the general assizes <strong>and</strong> general gaol delivery,<br />

held for the county of <strong>Cork</strong>e, commencing the 27th day of July, 1676.<br />

The other contains the several presentments made by the Gr<strong>and</strong><br />

Juries at the several general sessions of the peace, commencing the<br />

4th day of April, 167 6. The original presentments are kept by the<br />

Deputy Clerk of the Crown for the county of <strong>Cork</strong>e, in a chest in<br />

his lodgings in <strong>Cork</strong>e. He also keeps in the same place the court<br />

books, which contain the names of the several criminals, with the<br />

substance of their indictments, with names of the prosecu<strong>to</strong>rs, Sc.<br />

By the same person, in the same place, are kept the original indictments,<br />

<strong>to</strong>gether with the examinations <strong>and</strong> depositions taken before<br />

the Justices of the Peace, <strong>and</strong> the recognizances entered in<strong>to</strong> by<br />

the prosecu<strong>to</strong>rs, <strong>and</strong> by bails, &c.<br />
