OPERATION RULES FOR<br />
ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES,<br />
GOLF AND UTILITY CARTS<br />
*** DUE TO THE SPECIAL NATURE OF THESE VEHICLES, THE<br />
FOLLOWING RULES MUST BE OBSERVED ***<br />
Pedestrians have the right of way – be courteous at all times;<br />
Minimum age requirement to operate golf carts, all terrain vehicles and utility carts is 18 years;<br />
Operating these vehicles at night requires proper illumination;<br />
Modifying, disconnecting or otherwise interfering with the speed control, or any other equipment<br />
on the vehicle is strictly prohibited;<br />
Never operate the vehicle while impaired by alcohol, drugs, medication or injury; or transport<br />
passengers whose judgment may be impaired for any reason but not limited to the consumption of<br />
alcohol;<br />
Apply the parking brake and remove the key when not in use;<br />
Recommend unattended carts be secured properly with a cable and lock;<br />
Obey traffic signage, directions, signals and instructions by IMS Safety Patrol and/or law<br />
enforcement officials;<br />
Do not operate carts outside the premises of the IMS property gates; i.e. city sidewalks and<br />
streets;<br />
Do not operate any of these vehicles on the golf course or golf course paths;<br />
Refueling carts is not the responsibility of the IMS;<br />
Obey golf cart seating capacities;<br />
IMS is not responsible for lost or stolen carts.<br />
*** AVOID THE FOLLOWING ***<br />
Transporting passengers whose judgment may be impaired for any reason including but not<br />
limited to the consumption of alcohol;<br />
Transporting passengers not seated on seat(s) provided by the manufacturer;<br />
Passengers sitting in a backwards position on the front cowling or standing while in operation;<br />
Heavy loads that may shift while turning;<br />
Using reverse - use extreme caution if you must use reverse;<br />
Operating any vehicle without proper authorization, at excessive speed, recklessly or without due<br />
consideration to pedestrians;<br />
Parking under grandstands without authorization or in pedestrian traffic areas.<br />
REPORT ALL INCIDENTS/CRASHES INVOLVING THE VEHICLE TO IMS GUEST SERVICES AND/OR LAW<br />
ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN SUSPENSION OF OPERATING PRIVILEGES.<br />
REPORT CRASHES/INCIDENTS REQUIRING MEDICAL ATTENTION TO LAW<br />
ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS IMMEDIATELY.<br />
