13. ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE
The Consolidated Entity is subject to a range of
environmental laws and regulations in respect to its
exploration and development activities.
The Company aims to ensure the appropriate standard
of environmental care is achieved, and in doing so,
that it is aware of and is in compliance with all relevant
environmental legislation.
During the year, the Company met all reporting
requirements in relation to the above environmental
legislation. No circumstances arose which resulted
in an incident to be reported under environmental
legislation.
14. EVENTS SUBSEQUENT TO
BALANCE DATE
No matters or circumstances have arisen since the end
of the financial year which have significantly affected or
may significantly affect the operations, results or state of
affairs of the Consolidated Entity in subsequent financial
years other than as disclosed in Note 20 to the Financial
Statements.
16. INDEMNIFICATION OF OFFICERS
An indemnity agreement has been entered into with
each of the Directors of the Company named earlier in
this report. Under the agreement, the Company has
agreed to indemnify those officers against any claim or
for any expenses or costs which may arise as a result of
work performed in their respective capacities. There is
no monetary limit to the extent of this indemnity.
During the financial year, the Company has paid
premiums to insure the Directors and executives against
certain liabilities arising out of their conduct while
acting as an officer of the Company. Under the terms
and conditions of the insurance contract, the nature of
liabilities insured against and the premium paid cannot
be disclosed.

15. NON-AUDIT SERVICES AND
AUDITOR INDEPENDENCE
The Company may decide to employ the auditor on
assignments additional to their statutory audit duties
where the auditor’s expertise and experience with the
Company and/or the Consolidated Entity are important.
During the year ended 30 June 2006, the auditor did
not provide any non-audit services.
The Directors received an independence declaration
from the auditor of the Company and a copy as required
under section 307C of the Corporation Act 2001 is set
out on page 28.
