RESULTS OF BALLOTING<br />
MARCH 14, 2006<br />
Moderator Robert Casassa called to order the Deliberative Session <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Hampton</strong> Annual <strong>Town</strong> Meeting<br />
at 8:35 AM in the <strong>Hampton</strong> Academy cafeteria. Members <strong>of</strong> Girl Scout Troop 2350, Laurel Dumont,<br />
Stephanie Hartley, Taylor Midgley, Kailtyn Osborne, and Nicole Mounsey, presented the flag, which was<br />
given to them by the US Army. The assembly rose as the Troop 2350 led them in the Pledge <strong>of</strong><br />
Allegiance and as Mr. Kevin Kimball delivered the invocation.<br />
The Moderator introduced the town <strong>of</strong>ficials; <strong>Town</strong> Manager, James Barrington; Selectmen, James<br />
Workman, Virginia Bridle-Russell, Richard Griffin and Bennett Moore; <strong>Town</strong> Attorney, Mark Gearreald;<br />
Finance Director, Dawna Duhamel; <strong>Town</strong> Clerk, Arleen Andreozzi; Deputy <strong>Town</strong> Clerk, Betty Poliquin<br />
and Administrative Assistant, Maureen Duffy.<br />
Mr. Casassa acknowledged the posting <strong>of</strong> the warrant and explained the rules which he would conduct the<br />
meeting. It was voted to waive the reading <strong>of</strong> the warrant on a motion by James Workman and a second<br />
by James Barrington. Moderator Casassa stated he would read each article in its turn.<br />
Selectman Workman made a motion to allow the non-resident staff to speak if necessary. Seconded by<br />
Mr. Barrington. The motion passed.<br />
On March 14, 2006 the voters met at Marston School to elect <strong>of</strong>ficers and to vote on all the articles.<br />
Moderator Casassa opened the polls at 7:00 AM and they remained open until 8:00PM. The number <strong>of</strong><br />
voters at the polls was 3,175 and the absentee vote <strong>of</strong> 366 brought the total number <strong>of</strong> votes cast to 3,541 ,<br />
putting the voter turnout at 29 % <strong>of</strong> the 12,016 names on the checklist.<br />

order).<br />

Trustee <strong>of</strong> the Trust Funds for Three Years; Two (2) <strong>Library</strong> Trustees for Three Years; One (1) Cemetery<br />
Trustee for Three Years; Two (2) Planning Board Members for Three Years; Four (4) Municipal Budget<br />
Committee Members for Three Years; Two (2) Zoning Board <strong>of</strong> Adjustment Members for Three Years.<br />
