Bella Rosa
Robin Beeking presented eight-year old Bella
Rosa by Belissimo M/Hohenstein (breeder:
Heino Bruns, Gödenstorf) in Arnheim/The
Netherlands. The pair won Inter I.
Blind Date
Victoria Max-Theurer and Blind Date by Breitling
W/Donnerhall (breeder: Margarethe Klare,
Maasen) go from victory to victory. They
won the Grand Prix and the Freestyle at the
Chateau Achleiten in Austria.
Broadway
The CDI in Lipica/Slovenia was a 3*-competition.
In the Grand Prix of the Freestyle-Tour
the judges awarded Broadway by Beluga/
Wolkentanz (breeder: Heiko Janssen, Schortens)
and rider Sylvia Zimmers performance
the fifth-best score and the third highest
score in the freestyle.
Chamberlain (VA)
Chamberlain by Compliment/Grundsee
(breeder: Hans Mikulle, Immensen) and Dana
Beck from Luxembourg impressed with their
performance placing fourth in the freestyle
competition for juniors at the CDIJ in Lipica.
Condio B
Hanoverian horses determined the outcome
of the CDIJ in Compiegne/France. Three of the
four top-placed horses carried the soughtafter
foal brand. Claire-Louise Averkorn rode
Condio B by Contendro/Willem’s As (breeder:
Stephan Baumgart, Drochtersen) into first
place in the individual test and in the freestyle.
Earlier on the pair had won silver in the
team test.
D’Agostino
A Hanoverian dual victory at the CDI in Wiesbaden/Germany!
D’Agostino by De Niro/Shogun
xx (breeder: Klaus Lahmann, Dassendorf)
and Fabienne Lütkemeier placed second in
the Grand Prix behind Don Johnson FRH.
Danilo
Shelly Francis from the USA rode Danilo by
De Niro/Andiamo (breeder: Susanne and Jürgen
Beck, Stuttgart) in Inter I and received
the fifth best result in Arnheim.
Der Clou
The majority of horses that participated in
the CDI in Madrid were of Iberian descent.
Der Clou by De Niro/Matcho AA (breeder: Dr.
Rainer Nitsch, Salzhausen) was one of the
few representatives of a riding horse breed.
The bay won the freestyle with rider Filipe
Canelas after having placed third in the
Grand Prix.
Don Charly (VA)
Minna Telde and Don Charly by Don Gregory/
Inschallah AA (breeder: Ewald Grotelueschen,
Wardenburg) won the Grand Prix Special
and the Freestyle at the CDIO in Vadauban.
The Grand Prix also determined the
Nations Cup; the pair placed third there. The
Swedish team won silver in this competition
behind the Dutch team.

Grosso Z by Goliath II/Furioso II (breeder:
Leon Melchior, Lanaken/Belgium)has
turned 30 years of age. The senior enjoys
his retirement on the breeding farm
Wiesenhof. The dual-talented dark bay
who was a successful dressage competitor
himself up to Prix St. Georges sired the
privately owned stallions Goldfever I and II.

Franziska Roth and her mount Dictus J by
Drossan/Gletscher (breeder: Heinrich
Jansen, Geeste) were awarded the
U25-advancement prize in Marbach. The
23-year old rider and her Hanoverian
finished the CIC*** in ninth place overall.

Don Diego (VA)
The Spanish dressage rider Juan Matute discovered
Don Diego by Don Frederico/Wolkenstein
II (breeder: Claus Schuett, Hemmoor) on
Verden’s elite auction in April 2007. He made
the horse available to his son called Juan Matute
Guimon for international competitions.
The 16-year old placed third in the FEI-team
test at the CDIJ in Compiegne. He improved
and placed second behind Condio B in the
following individual test and in the freestyle.

The stallion Matchos As (breeder:
Johannes Otto, Wildeshausen) has past
away. He was the last actively breeding
descendant of the Anglo-Arab sire Matcho
AA. Mid May Matchos As died of sudden
heart failure. Matchos As was one of
Verden’s top-selling auction horses on the
elite auction in the spring 1995 after a
brief period of time as breeding stallion.
He successfully competed up to Inter I.
