to assist deserving students; with preference to those from<br />
northwest Louisiana.<br />
ANITA WELLS LOAN FUND: Established by Anita Wells<br />
of California to provide assistance to deserving students.<br />
ENDOWMENT FUNDS<br />
Endowment Funds are those for which donors have<br />
stipulated that the principal of the fund is to remain inviolate<br />
in perpetuity and is to be invested for the purpose<br />
of producing income. The income may be expended<br />
only for the purpose specified by the donor.<br />
CLAUDETTE ALEXANDER ENDOWED FUND FOR<br />
CHILDREN’S LITERATURE: Established in memory<br />
and honor of Claudette Alexander for the development of<br />
a high quality repository of children’s literature, music,<br />
CDs, tapes, etc. A second purpose for the funds will be to<br />
secure noted speakers, programs or equipment that will<br />
enhance the education and training of students in elementary<br />
education.<br />
