2.11 Members of the Forum were informed that following consideration of the<br />

Final Report, both Cabinet and the NHS <strong>Hartlepool</strong> Board approved their<br />

respective recommendations in their entirety. On receipt of the report at the<br />

NHS <strong>Hartlepool</strong> Board meeting, the Executive Director for Public Health<br />

sought representation from Members to support the introduction of a<br />

minimum price per unit of alcohol. Members felt that they needed more detail<br />

in relation to this request and have agreed to receive a presentation at a<br />

future meeting of the Forum.<br />

2.12 Quality Account – North Tees and <strong>Hartlepool</strong> NHS Foundation Trust<br />

attended the Forum meeting of 12 October 2010, to present Members with<br />

their plans for their Quality Account for 2011/12. Members agreed with the<br />

areas indentified and suggested some other areas that the Trust may wish to<br />

include. The Forum look forward to seeing a draft version of the Quality<br />

Account at their meeting of 1 February 2011.<br />

2.13 Six Monthly Monitoring of Agreed Health Scrutiny Forum’s<br />

Recommendations: The Health Scrutiny Forum was pleased to receive the<br />

<strong>scrutiny</strong> recommendations monitoring report at its meeting of 12 October<br />

2010, Members noted the high number of recommendations achieved and<br />

on target, the Forum are eagerly anticipating the next monitoring report due<br />

at our meeting of 1 February 2011.<br />

2.14 Forward Plan – The Health Scrutiny Forum, at each of its meetings,<br />

continues to consider possible issues from the <strong>Council</strong>’s Forward Plan for<br />

inclusion within its Work Programme. Since the Forum’s last progress report<br />

no specific items have been identified.<br />

3. RECOMMENDATION<br />

3.1 It is recommended that the Scrutiny Co-ordinating Committee notes the<br />

progress of the Health Scrutiny Forum.<br />
