90 Julia Coleman writes, “Still in
Boston (living in Somerville). Secondyear
resident of Psychiatry at Massachusetts
General Hospital. Busy having a
great time taking care of the mentally ill.
I’ve been in contract with Don Morrison
since he and my husband Steve were
classmates at the Teacher’s College of
Columbia last year. Don is back in
Tampa, Fla., teaching history but I saw
him in Denver, Colo., two weeks ago.
Also, I ran into Ravi Sheth last spring in
N.Y.C. while having lunch with Don at
an Indian restaurant. Small world!!! Ravi
was doing a post-doc in Chicago and
planning a June wedding in Italy to his
Italian fiancé.”
Emma (Fortney) McCarty writes, “It has
been a busy year and a half. I finished
my residency at Massachusetts General’s
Med/Peds program in June of 2000,
moved to Shreveport, La. (no kidding),
and got married to David McCarty. Needless
to say, I haven’t seen a ’Ford in
Shreveport, but if anyone is interested in
Mardi Gras-Lite, Shreveport is the place
to be, and we would love the visitors.”

Northampton, Mass., but have changed
jobs. I’m flying out of Chicago as First
Officer on a Dornier 328 for Air Wisconsin/United
Express. Come say hello if
you hear me on the P.A. – just wait until
we’re on the ground!”

93 Mitchell Cohen writes, “If any
of my Haverford ‘homies’ visit South
Florida, I will be happy to show you
around. There are subtle nuances
between the Sunshine State and the Keystone
State. Example: here instead of
Superfresh and Shoprite, we have Winn-
Dixie and Publix. Oh, BTW, I was featured
in the Miami Herald on Jan. 28,
2002, for having won a two-plus year
battle against the Immigration and Naturalization
Service, on the basis of the
U.N. Convention Against Torture.”

Gregory Cooper writes, “Last year I
graduated from the University of Maryland
with a Ph.D. in physics. While I was
a graduate student, I created a new technology
for manufacturing integrated circuits.
Since I graduated, I have been
working full time for Pixelligent Technologies,
a company I founded to develop
this technology. We are currently
located in Alexandria, Va. Pixelligent is
still a very small company, and I am
learning how to manage the startup
process. Since we are always looking for
good people, anyone looking for a job
with a background in physics, chemistry,
or engineering should feel free to contact
me at gcooper@pixelligent.com.”
Kaeza Kristin Fearn writes, “I am continuing
to grow and change, learning to
let go (an ending of a relationship teaches
this!). I spend time teaching piano,
nursery school, acting as youth director
at a congregational church here in the
Boston area, and am seeking new musical
collaborators! Please send them my
way. I am tending a seed that contains
the idea of beginning a small sustainable
community here in New England.

Ashley Pierce writes, “I was married to
Rick Slade in Mexico on Nov. 23, 2001.
I’m working as a certified nurse-midwife
in private practice in northern Virginia.
’Fords in attendance included Hunter K
Rawlings ’66, Clay Kelly, and Bronwyn
Sisk.”
Allison Stahl writes, “Kevin, Jacob and I
are living in Larchmont, N.Y., where we
bought a house in the spring. I’m still staying
home with Jacob and I’m having the
time of my life doing it. The time is flying
by – Jacob turned two on January 31st!”
Alison Volpe married Michael Holmes
in New York, N.Y., on May 12, 2001. Ten
’Fords attended, including the best man
Matt Fitzgerald and the maid of honor
Adi Cohen-Weinsaft. Heather Donaldson
’95 and Kathie Jordan ’94 were in
the wedding party. Alison and Mike currently
live in Chapel Hill, N.C., where
Alison is a second year resident at the
University of North Carolina Hospitals,
and Mike attends the UNC Kenan-Flagler
Business School.
